WIP Updates

Hey all! 

Chalkboard signage is coming along slowly. Making the textures, as you can see above, really didn't take to long - it's the decal slots that took me like a half a day to figure out because copying or adding them doesn't work. I guess you have to add them each manually in the warehouse so that's going to be an all day project. I think to be efficient what I'm going to do is create a template file with a TON of slots and just reuse it. Deleting extra slots is much easier than adding them. :)

Another cool idea I came up with is to have the more reasonably sized boards slot onto angled stands. This will make it easier too because I'll only need to make one rotated slot for the board to sit on versus 20 rotated slots for decals to sit on full standing sign.

I also have been playing around with Photoshop and discovered their filters and I'm hooked. This is what I've got so far, which looks a little more painted than chalky but I think I'm almost there. The first image is the original and the other one I ran through filters:

I haven't re-released the farmers market counters because apparently I forgot the dirt overlays for those too and I'm still adding them. To be fair, I didn't know that you had to add these, I assumed any counters would just link to the ones that the cloned counter used but no...that would be too easy lol. They may not be out til next week as I have to add them manually to all 20 models for all 12 colors.

I have some harvestable meshes ready to go, I'll likely start uploading them later next week when scumbumbo's script injector gets updated. I was able to test out a working version of the update and it works PERFECTLY! I'll be able to add the new code to each harvestable so you don't need to keep updating the Notebook Entries and Seed Packets files. Also, 100% of people who voted want the new code included in the harvestable so yay, you made my job easier lol.

Last thing, I think I'm going to need to change the tuning on the Produce Display Baskets because I keep getting routing errors when Sims try to buy from them. The stock option will still work, but unfortunately the items won't be automatically tagged for sale.

Yeah, that's the same issue. That's what I get for trying to have it all lol! I'll fix the tuning so you'll have to set them for sale yourself but I think that'll still work well. As far as the recipes, that's exactly what I was thinking! I'm really going to push to get the harvestables done by the end of the month as I'm almost done with all the new textures and stuff. Then I'm going to start by revamping all the in-game recipes to include some of my harvestables. By the time that project is done the farmers market should be done and I'll start focusing on monthly lots/sets that revolve around new recipes like a bakery or pizza shop. And thanks, I love when my Patrons interact and throw ideas at me! I can't always make them happen, but sometimes they'll pop up in another project later down the line lol. ;)

Sounds great! Thank you I use the Produce Display Baskets in my Flower/Produce store and I've had just one error - I think it's the same as you mentioned... a routing issue. When the sim has finished shopping and is ready to check out, they give a 'unroutable' thought bubble and then it just continues. Is that what it's doing for you? I love them btw - they are awesome. I can't wait for some new recipes using your Cookbook - maybe with your harvestables. Or maybe even updating the BG recipes to include your harvestables. Just thoughts! Thanks! (I uploaded of screenshot of the baskets in the 'Community' tab - I was using your other baskets (not for retail) I think they were from Laundry Day, these are soooo much better)
