They readjust the imbalances in the economy, then the free market is "supposed" (to be allowed) to reallocate scarce resources, ie land, labor, and capital in the pursuit of profits... pretty simple. The bigger the bubble the bigger the crash. Instead of taking the pain in 2009, here we are more fucked than ever. Trump should have the balls to collapse it all, he can't run for reelection.

You always need to be seen pumping shit if you wanna stay in power. And if it collapses anyway, you do all you can to be minimize the pain to voters. You cant just go let it all burn. 4 years wont be enough to change anything in terms of debt and after dems would come back with a super majority and start spending like you have never seen before and undo all of the work.

I always start with the failure of Lincoln to live long enough to get us out of the trap we were baited into by our ancient enemies. Now they have him sitting on a Roman throne, mocking us, and we don't even see it. Yes, he did win his CW he had to inaugurate as a first step to try to save it, but he didn't have time to get us out of the trap. On a deeper level, we lost it the day we became too prideful and thus blinded to see the most fundamental truth of the Country, i.e. our enemies would never give up, the Monroe doctrine be damned. They would just stop sending armies and come at the problem a different way. Now all have in positions of power in the political and press are morons, while the people sleep under illusion they think is real.
