Table Slot Overrides

Okay so I'm having a bit of a dilemma with this set. For anyone who doesn't know, before Parenthood came out I had made an override for all the tables in game so that you could create some lovely place settings that wouldn't interfere with your sims being able to eat like the picture here:

So the problem now is how do I mix this with the new 'set table' interaction. I've been mulling over it for a while now and here's what I've come up with...

I can leave the glass and plate slots because they will work as is. I've made an extra slot for placemats so there will be no more stacking to get your stuff on the table. This removes the chance for the 'object not found' error and makes it so you can decorate directly on the table instead of from the floor to the table. I can do the same thing for the napkin slot under the silverware. The biggest issue now is what to do about the silverware placement. Here are the options I've come up with:

Option 1: I can add a plate only option for setting the table, and then add a bunch of slots for you to place the silverware individually. The silverware will stay while sim is eating and after plate is cleared.

or...

Option 2: I can add plate/silverware only place settings in several options that have a preset silverware layout. A napkin on the plate variation would function with this. The silverware will disappear when sim starts to eat and will not appear until the sim sets the table again.

Either way I you would still get silverware clutter; I'd likely leave the pair of slots above the plates as well.

I personally like option 2 better. It's going to be easier to use in game for most people I think, but I'm hesitant because it limits the types of silverware setups you can have.

I need some help deciding...what you guys think?
