Chinese ecommerce apps seem to be extending credit lines to everybody today. Meituan, a food delivery app, just offered me a $10,000 USD credit facility. One of my Chinese co-workers who takes home $1,500 a month has been offered a grand total of $75,000 in credit lines from all these different apps. There are going to be a lot of ladies buying a lot of face cream, very soon. I think your EL play is bang on

Beware the China "stimulus". Relaxing the bank reserve requirements is an exercise in futility, since small China banks are already technically insolvent. They can't lend anymore because they are losing money on their current book, and increasing loan volume only makes it worse. Allowing Chinese to buy a second home is pointless, when the average Chinese person can't sell one home in a declining real estate market. The CCP is trying to throw money at a problem that can't be solved with more money. This will likely end the same way the "China Reopening" ended when the CCP ended COVID restrictions. Japanese exports to China cratered and the reopening turned out to be a bust. If this stimulus doesn't stimulate, it will just be throwing good money after bad.
