Mav - I understand your point re the question of CEOs and their ability to have political opinions, “free speech”. Many people get this confused, but the 1st AMD only protects individuals from the Govt blocking speech (unless an exception applies). The Constitution absolutely does not protect the individuals from consequences of speech when the consequences do not come from a Govt entity. So the public is free to respond to an individual’s speech, such as selling shares/boycotting. Arguably the act of boycotting is granted the highest level of protection under the Constitution as an act of political speech itself. Further, a private corp/entity is free under the Constitution to silence speech that is in violation of a contract (terms of use), as it is not the Govt. Im an attorney, so I hope this helps clarify for folks on how the 1st AMD works.

This. I think that it’s only streamed on Discord, but it’d be nice to access the VODs on Patreon for those of us without discord

Can someone please explain how First Class Patreon’s can join the Live on Tuesday’s? Thanks!

Regarding Elon: Freedom of speech has never been free, there's always consequences. If you want to say shit that you know will piss people off, you shouldn't be running a publicly traded company that influences millions of retirement accounts. I love freedom of speech and hearing people talk about controversial things, but I'm smart enough to know you can't do that in certain positions; it's just selfish at that point. You need to sacrifice your freedom for the good of the people that rely on you.

I love it, Mav. You are an equal opportunity insulter!

@12:15 I think it all comes out in the wash. This means that freedom of speech isn't free. Public figure have certain responsibilities and consequences. As consumers we have the power to create those consequences and hold people to their responsibilities. If they want to play then we get to play. Musk is a big boy.

Intelligent preempt the bubble burst, before the elections for a sitting Democratic president aka Deep State Puppet. I would expect nothing less, given what we seen already 🙄

Mav - "I'd never sacrifice freedom of speech or opinion for monetary gain" - Amen to that!!!! it's not like we don't have enough censorship already out there in the world - well done Mav - offend away! Offence is taken and NOT given - Stoicism - we can all choose every moment on how we deal with things we don't like in the world - we can man up or be fucking babies!

Mike

Mav, how much of the polls are just showing market saturation? The Dem leaning people were first adopters and now the market is saturated and the Repub's are late adopters and are just catching up.

Joseph Murray

how would they know what political party a car buyer supports?
