2024-03-29 08:13:21 +0000 UTCAs a Bear, I really underestimated this last year and a half the extent to which the policymakers, Powell and Yellen, would put their thumb on the scale to pump this market and keep it propped up heading into the election. Their jobs depend on Biden being re-elected and it shows in their actions. Yellen has been manipulating the bond market like crazy, funding the government with short term bonds to keep the long end rates low and prevent the regional banks and overall market from collapsing.
