[Cafe] 113 – Finale of the Tournament and Revelation of the first Champion

With each passing hour, the players were forced closer and closer to the surface. The tunnel leading to the surface was a full-blown warzone, as people shot at each other, struck when they saw weakness and fortified their positions.

By the 12th day, those that remained were constricted to the tunnel and surface. Those who proved to be weak were overtaken by those who lay in wait outside the tunnel until they were forced to enter, with figures such as Bloody Fist being able to avoid much of the attrition those fighting inside the tunnel were dealing with, leaving him and some of those in the tunnel bunkered home having plenty of ammo and supplies to continue fighting while some groups were running out of ammo completely.

Those who were still holding out were the trio, Bloody Fist and a few of his minions, The Best Clown and Beautiful Flower, Crazy Steve, who was still hiding, Bruiser, Whisky, and some no names who were either in the teams of one of the names mentioned before or were lucky enough to make it this far.

It was a war of attrition between those who remained. Guns were used sparingly, along with any tames, as they could quickly turn the tide in any battle. This meant that it was a battle between multiple immovable forces, and each time a weakness revealed itself, the others would viciously exploit it. For example, when one team had a dinosaur that was not behind cover from a certain angle, that dinosaur was then killed by a hail of gunfire the next hour.

By the 13th day, the tunnel became a mess of structures and ruins as they were forced to move closer to the surface of Aberration. Resources were at an all-time low, and metal was becoming rare, leaving most structures to be made from stone or wood. Most had barely any ammo or tames left, with the notable exception of two key figures of the third round. 

By the 14th day, the remaining space of the tunnel was becoming increasingly small, as some teams were forced to fight one another or be forced out into the Radioactive hellscape that is the surface.

Most of the less notable or lucky figures were taken out. Harley Quinn, Ivy, and Black Widow were among them, as well as most of the less prominent figures who made it this far.

The following remain: Bloody Fist, Crazy Steve, Archer, Captain America, Whisky, Bruiser, Jami, HeyApple, and an unknown with the username 'ArchAngel.' Of those who remained, only 'Captain America' and 'Archer' remained as a team, the rest either having lost theirs or remaining solo since the start of the round, and the battle between those who remained became only more desperate, while Bloody Fist and Crazy Steve stuck to the shadows, waiting for the opportune moment to strike and take out all of the competition.

With the entire group lacking the equipment and supplies to survive on the Surface, the remaining nine participants were forced to fight over every little space available, and so, throughout all of the 14th day of the third and final round of the tournament, they fought and fought.

The following two to go down were Jami and HeyApple, the two only making it this far due to the more skilled participants focusing on one another than them, that is, until a maw ate them whole from above before they could even react.

The Rock Drakes, while the apex predators of this ARK, had a massive weakness with their most potent ability. The air would shimmer when they moved when invisible, giving away their location, and this shimmer? It was easily spotted due to how limited the space to play was now, and the contestant that spotted it was none other than the other one still hidden with a Rock Drake of their own, Crazy Steve.

With only seven contestants remaining, the tension became increasingly intense for both the audience and the contestants themselves, and before long, five of the seven were forced to face one another when the space shrunk down to barely a few hundred feet before the tunnel would breach the surface and force everyone out into that radioactive hellscape.

The first two to fight were Whisky and Bruiser, who were both short on everything. What equipment that remained was in taters or only good in specific situations. Whisky, armed with a sword and shield, immediately charged Bruiser from his blind side, getting the first strike in as the sword's edge cleaved through the top layer of Bruiser's armor, which reached just in time to avoid being cleaved in half.

However, for each strike Bruiser returned, Whisky easily blocked with his shield and got a strike in with his sword, and before even a few minutes had passed, Whisky killed Bruiser by splitting open his stomach.

The other battles proceeded in the same way, with hardly anyone having any ammo, if at all; most resulted in fighting in close-quarters combat to save the ammo for more dangerous opponents.

As it neared midnight, a contestant died nearly every hour as more and more of the tunnel collapsed.

Whisky died from an arrow through the throat.

And as the remaining three contests were but three dozen feet from being forced out of the tunnel, Bloody Fist revealed himself by striking at the distracted Captain America, who was sheared in half.

Then Crazy Steve made his move, lunging from the shadows atop his Rock Drake, slamming into the Bloody Fist's Drake, sending the four tumbling onto the surface, where they started getting pelted by copious amounts of radiation.

While their Rock Drakes tore each other apart, the two riders were eventually flung off and began to fight to the death. The two were the most fit of all the contestants due to not having to exert much energy or use many resources.

But, as the minutes passed, it was clear who would win, as Crazy Steve, with a maniacal grin, pulled out a simple revolver and fired, a bullet piercing through Bloody Fist's shoulder, sending him stumbling back before Crazy Steve shot again. Then again, and again, till all six rounds left the chamber and six new holes lined Bloody Fist's body.

With a flash of light, the Tournament ended, and the winner of the Championship was revealed.

The Prime Zerref stepped forward from behind the new champion and asked a simple question.

"Congratulations on your victory, Benjamin; as the victor of the First Tournament, you may request any item or object from any of the Games featured with the store; what is your request?" The cosmic being asked, looking to the unknowing superhero who would do many things in the future and potentially save the world along with three friends.
