[Cafe] 112 – Chaos ensues
Added 2025-03-15 21:22:51 +0000 UTC"Run!" A man in the traveling group ahead shouted as one of the other men next to him collapsed, an arrow piercing into his throat and causing them to collapse into a pool of their own blood. Tyke, who had been given the title of 'Wastelander' by the other players of Fallout due to his achievements and vast knowledge of the game series, was proving to be a menace in the last round of the tournament, having killed six other contestants already with nothing but a bow in the first two days of the third round and even more as each day passed. While many chose to use new strategies in hopes of lasting long enough to win the tournament, Tyke stuck with what he knew, taking down the other Contestants silently and with brutal efficiency.
His skill with weapons and survival made him one of the most likely to win the tournament, but as skilled as the man was, he was in a match with over a dozen opponents just as competent as he, and while his chosen teammates from his guild did not last as long as he would have liked, they were great assistance in helping Tyke get as far as he did, as while Tyke hunted down the other contestants, his two guildmates focused on supplying him with all of the weapons and armor he'd need, even going as far as to make medical and energy brews to other potent consumables from Rockwell's recipes, giving the man a superhuman edge as he moved faster, hit harder, healed wounds fast enough to be visible at the naked eye, and could constantly move and fight with the brews providing him near unending health and stamina.
These advantages, while making him near unbeatable at the start of the third round, were already losing their effectiveness, as people crafted flak armor, firearms, and tamed formidable dinosaurs and aberrant creatures, forcing him to change tactics mid fly as some of the men in the group before him turned around, an assortment of basic firearms in hand before they unleashed a volley of projectiles his way, some tearing straight through his body. In contrast, others missed, ricocheting off the cavern walls.
Even with all of the benefits the unique recipes gave him, he collapsed to the ground, riddled with holes.

Even with the team limit being only three players, some decided to team up with other teams, forming large groups to defend themselves against the more skilled contestants remaining in the match, contestants like the trio Lucky, Captain America, and Archer and the duo Beautiful Flower and The Best Clown.
Of course, it was clear that the tournament's host did not like the teaming, but as he stated long ago, there were no rules. May the best win.
...
With sheer determination and extraordinary patience, Crazy Steve, who now had a fertile Rock Drake egg, climbed out from the valley and sought a remote corner of the caverns, taking the time to gather the meat he needed to raise the Rock Drake to maturity without it starving to death due to the accelerated growth and development.
When the Rock Drake hatched, and Steve imprinted on the small avian lizard who would grow to rival the size of a small bus, the other unknown player who hunted for a Rock Drake just like Steve also proved to be successful, even managing to get safely out of the valley before the Rock Drakes could catch him, only to fall victim to one contestant named Bloody Fist, the same Bloody Fist that has become known for being extremely brutal and tyrannical. He beat many to death in cruel and terrible ways, some calling his methods torture instead of murder.
Many called him a monster, a title he seemingly took pride in as his methods only became worse, causing more pain to those he fought. As one of the oldest customers known to have started visiting the cafe, he was already ahead of many people. There was even talk that he was the boss of a new gang in Hell's Kitchen, a feat that was near impossible due to the strength of the other major players in Hell's Kitchen.
Yet, despite his notoriety and actions, he was respectful to the elderly and had some form of twisted honor, already proving that he was a fairer crime boss than the others in Hell's Kitchen. While there were already attempts on his life, the things he had bought from the Cafe has let him last so long and get a bunch of subordinates, who now also frequented the Cafe, gaining credits and allowing for the purchase of even more miraculous items from the Cafe and making the gang even more dangerous, despite their small number.
Yet, in the end, Bloody Fist was still considered average compared to the stronger contestants remaining, but that very well changed when he got his hands on the Rock Drake Egg. He went from one of the least dangerous contestants remaining to one of the most, especially considering the horde of carnivorous dinosaurs his team had formed, and with the valley collapsing, no one else would be able to get an egg themselves before it collapsed entirely on the sixth day.
Of course, by the seventh day, many recognized the pattern of the tunnel collapses.
The center of this 'storm,' was seemingly the tunnel to the surface, if not the surface itself. With that knowledge, those who wanted an advantage got a move on, heading for this tunnel where they could bunker down until the 15th and last day of the third round and with only a little over a dozen contestants remaining, people began to think that this round would end long before the 15th day, little did they know how patient and defensive people would become to reach the end, even if it would be a futile attempt.
...
On the ninth day, multiple stone fortresses were constructed in and around the tunnel to the surface. At the same time, those who chose a more nomadic lifestyle roamed what caverns had not collapsed yet, occasionally fighting each other in skirmishes before withdrawing, neither side wanting to weaken themselves and doom their chances of winning. Yet, one of these did the opposite, as they had something that none of the others had. Of course, it was Bloody Fist, who, with the help of his teammates and subordinates and the dinosaurs and Aberrant creatures they had tamed, stomped all they came across, the unparalleled mobility of the Rock Drake proving to be King in the caverns, its camouflage only making it even more dangerous.
Of course, it was not the only Rock Drake roaming those caverns, as Crazy Steve hid himself from the other contestants until he caught up in level and equipment, his Rock Drake proving to be the ultimate ninja as he could flee before anyone found him, making many think he had died early, only for him to be in actuality, waiting for his chance, the chance to strike when his opponents were weak.
[#1] - Once this tournament arc is over, I will be diving into the more supernatural elements of the story and expand on the champions who have been chosen and their interactions with their patrons, as well as the thoughts of some specific heroes, maybe even more than that. We will see, and I could always use more suggestions. Thanks.
