Realized I can just share my brushes here- these are my 4 main photoshop brushes!
I'll make an export of my whole collection someday, but I have a lot of random stuff in there that I've never used before with the sentiment "maybe someday I'll take the time to learn how to apply these/when to apply these-" so it'd take some time to sort them all neatly to make it somewhat coherent-
But for now I can share the ones I use the most!
Brush number 1 is my most used painting brush - I use it to lay out big splotches of color as well as shaping out smaller details - but with it being a square brush means I have to switch to another for the extra-fine detailwork.
Brush number 2 and 3 are versatile brushes - that are used similarly but in different contexts;
Brush number 2 is primarily a sketching brush- but because it has a rounder tip while also being textured, I at times switch to it while painting with brush 1, when I want smaller details but still want to maintain some texture to better match the overall feel!
I use brush number 3 for sketching too - some days I need to use broader lines while sketching to avoid getting too focused on details early on - this brush is used for both sketching as well as coloring / shading. But can't really combine it with the textured ones too easily since it offers a very smooth and clean look. But I can basically make character commissions from start to finish only using this brush if i think a clean look would fit.
Brush number 4 used to be my primary painting brush for a time, but is now used as a more general texture brush to add extra noise in broad strokes - often used at the very end of a painting, to add splotches of texture where things might look too uniform in terms of texture-feel
