[Rise of a Multiversal Empire] 2 – Revelations

[A/N: A loyalty bar was added to the Colony Status screen and Colonists' Status Screens though not really important until the later stages when there are multiple cities and etc in the future]

The small Colony I found myself in charge of was bustling with activity as everyone got to work.

Of my hundred charges, I learned that none of them had Aura, meaning that of everyone in the Colony, I was the only one with any way to defend myself, though that wasn't including the natural gifts some of the Faunus had.

Of the hundred Faunus, there were sixteen Rabbit Faunus, eight Bull Faunus, twelve Cat Faunus, twelve Dog Faunus, two Snake Faunus, two Scorpian Faunus, six Deer Faunus, four Sheep Faunus, two Lion Faunus, two Pig Faunus, eight Wolf Faunus, six Fox Faunus, four Spider Faunus, four Bat Faunus, two Cameleon Faunus, two Panther Faunus, four Crocodile Faunus, two Goat Faunus, and lastly, two Shark based Faunus.

If anything, the traits and gifts they had were quite diverse, so diverse that most had different traits of the animal they were based on!

For example, the Cat Faunus families had anything from a tail, cat ears, whiskers, claws, and anything else Cats were known for, but all of the Faunus had, at most, a single trait of their animal heritage, though something that I found odd, was all of the Faunus, regardless of their specific heritage, had excellent night vision.

Only one night had passed since the Faunus, and I arrived in this world, and while I knew for certain that we were not on Remnant due to the fact that the Moon was still intact here, I had no idea if I was on my Earth.

I could be, but if we were, then we'd have quite a lot of trouble on our hands.

I had no doubt that if I were on my Earth, then every one of us would be kidnapped, dissected, and studied, if not tortured for information first by any number of Governments.

Who knows what they'd try to do to obtain Aura, let alone Semblances?

Pushing that thought away, I sighed, focusing on the task at hand, my Aura.

I was growing used to it, and apparently, I must have insane Aura reserves, as I've had my Aura active for six hours at this point and have yet to feel any sort of fatigue from it. However, something I have noticed is that it's difficult to keep my Aura active if I am not focused on it, though I am getting better with time.

Taking a deep breath, I got up from the grass I was sitting in, my Aura flaring around me as I moved.

It was...difficult to control.

It would occasionally flare up, and according to some of the Faunus, it put some sort of pressure on them, making it difficult to breathe or stand.

If anything, the more I thought about it, the more my Aura and what it was doing for me sounded like Haki from One Piece. Makes me tougher and stronger? Check. I can emit some kind of pressure on others? Check. Now, all I was missing was Observation Haki, though If I remember correctly, there existed Extrasensory Perception with Aura; I just have not noticed it yet.

So, Aura had accelerated healing capabilities, strength-boosting properties, climate protection, offensive and defensive properties, and Aura Users could even unlock the Aura of others that had a soul of some kind and who knows what else.

Sounded great, right?

'Why don't I unlock all of the Faunus' Auras then?' You may be asking. There were two simple reasons; the first was because it was told to be draining in the show, especially if I had to unlock the Aura of one hundred people. The second reason was that I did not want to take the chance. If were on Remnant or Earth, then that would only add more danger to the Faunus, whether it be attracting the Grimm or the Humans of my planet.

Sighing, I turned around from the fence I was sitting at, staring off into the beautifully lush green forest before me, and headed back to the center of the Colony.

I spent the majority of the first day doing introductions, meeting everyone, and getting a good scan of them to see their names and talents and get a feel for everyone's character.

Today, however, work needed to be done.

Standing at the center of the colony where a clearing stood, I called everyone to gather around.

People stopped what they were doing, and soon, everyone was standing around me.

"Alright, now that everyone's adjusted and rested, it's time to get to work! Once I call your name, step forward, and I will assign your job. If you have any questions or problems with your assigned occupation, come talk to me after!" I talked loud enough for everyone to hear me and to quiet the murmuring.

"Levi?" I called out. One of the two Chameleon Faunus stepped forward, the man.

"You have been assigned to Foraging duties. It is your job to gather wild fruit, vegetables, flowers, and any other flora that catches your interest and bring it back to the Colony for study or future use," I informed the man before calling out another name.

"Raye?" I called out, and the wife and also other chameleon Faunus stepped forward.

I nodded, "Same as your husband. I want you both to work together, stay close to the Colony, close enough to retreat if necessary. Don't leave yet. I want to give everyone their roles before we get to work," I told everyone, wanting to minimize the danger.

I continued calling out names and roles until everyone was given a job.

Something to note was that of the hundred Faunus; all were adults.

There were no children in the colony, and something else to note is that all of the Faunus were coupled; none of them were single. Another weird fact is that none of them had last names, all of them claiming to be orphans at one time or another and therefore not given a last name.

The Colony now had twenty foragers, twelve hunters, twelve trappers, four Craftsmen/women, two doctors, two quartermasters to take stock of our supplies, eight Lumberjacks, eight farmers, six builders, eighteen guards, and eight men and women that are to act as labor men and women that will help wherever they are needed.

Ten of the guards are to accompany the foragers and trappers, and each of the Guards will be given one of the small firearms to protect themselves and the others.

The Farmers are to get to work tilling the land behind the warehouse for a future farm to grow crops with the dried seeds we had in the warehouse.

Those in the workshop will hopefully begin work on making stone tools for the Farmers, baskets for the Foraggers, carts for the lumberjacks, shovels, hammers, nails, and other tools for the builders, and more.

The builders, on the other hand, were ordered to start digging a well at the center of the colony; in the same field, I gave both a speech and the job assignments.

As for the hunters, they were given survival sidearms as well, and for now, they would be the ones scouting and mapping the surrounding area around the colony.

There was much work that needed to be done, and they were not going to be the only ones working. In fact, I will be helping around the colony, helping dig the well, crafting tools in the workshop, and tilling the land with the farmers.

However, I couldn't help but worry. What if we were on Remnant? Grimm would easily be able to snuff out the colony, and if we were on Earth, any of the Militaries would be the doom of the colony if we become discovered...
