Here is the process of that group picture!
It goes:
Sketch 1 - defining proportions ( gotta get the height differences right) and general poses
Sketch 2 - refine anatomy and plan out detail; clothing, expressions
Lineart - self-explanatory
Flat-color (mostly) - When dealing with armor, I tend to get some of that reflective sheen on there even before shading, since it's its own texture basically.
Shading - multiple layers of different effects, but it all starts with a base layer of defining light and shadow just with "multiply"
Background and color adjustments - quick background to set the scene/mood, blurred a lot to avoid spending too much time - and color adjustments range from big gradients overlaid ontop everything set to "soft light", up to filters, and color sliders.
