So I spent like 2 sessions going into the direction of doing this big old bear looking dude for this last Character design assignment, just to realize that I much more preferred the look of that old crocodile grandma.
The wizardly bear was fine as well, but I felt like I've already done that kinda body/character type already and I probably would've spent too much time on just making him look different enough for me to feel less like I'm rehashing my old ideas.
Choosing a different design lead me to do some catch-up work at home, but I managed to finish up the required drawings for the assignments on time still, which I'll post soon as well.
We were asked to do a character design of an anthropomorphic creature ( and yes I was very happy to hear that ) and we needed to show research sketches, a turnaround of 4 or more views, posings that show the character, and an integration of one of the poses into a rendered /background.
All in all we had 4 sessions to complete it, thus 8 hours (but we were free to work at home as well, which I had to do to get the background and the turnaround done in time.
