Remember that 2 perspective background thingie I posted a while back? https://www.patreon.com/posts/anamorphose-wip-30545690 (Still in process, am currently in the middle of shading it traditionally) But I'm now more or less done with the animation part of the double assignment! I'll probably color in the animation with white too, because once I use the finished Background, those lines will totally disappear in all the black and varying contrasts.
There are exactly 100 drawings for the main animation, and 27 for the leaves. There's a mix between animation on 4's, 3's, 2's and 1's. Obviously the fastest part of the camera movement has to be paired with an animation pace of 1's ( 24 frames a second) But I did some unecessary extra work too, by starting animating on 1's from the moment he stretches out his arms at the very top. I could've just kept it on 2's just until the camera starts moving, but I was already comitted and it looked nice :T
I've started to really get the hang of smooth animation, which is basically just a question of patience and consistent/thought out dividing (consistent spacing between many frames, even if the separation is just a line-width apart - it makes a big difference!)
I'll show the different sketching stages in my next compilation youtube video after this semester is over - it's a bit of a hassle to put it together, because I have to re-time the camera motion each time since my timing varied from stage to stage (I had to redo the camera rhythm each time I changed the animation pace/length too btw - it was also a hassle during the process)
