Smoke - Personal
Added 2019-11-04 22:05:23 +0000 UTCOhthank god, I've finally been able to start something totally random and actually finish it in one quick session like what I've used to. I had the picture in my head of some gnarly grubby looking creature just spewing out smoke like a factory and then I just went autopilot to get it drawn out.

I think my issues with all the recent tries were that I was overthinking things too much. And it's not like it's unimportant to be self-critical,, like I do need to self-analyze to figure out how to improve, but I just wasn't able to shut that part of my brain off for a while there. So it just ended up being constant without noticing?
It wasn't the usual "oh just ignore what you think is ""expected""and draw for yourself" but it was rather a feeling of continuous self-critique about my abilities/methods/process itself? Like I was doing things the wrong way, and needed to figure out the right approach right then and there, otherwise I'd be wasting my time. Definitely a new type of problem, that I hope I'll now be able to recognize more easily if it occurs again
