Anamorphose wip - Background

not sure what the English term for an anamorphose perspective is, but we're doing a background piece that's going to be used for a different animation class. So it starts at the top with one perspective, and ends at the bottom in a different perspective. Basically to fake a camera tilting movement.

Interestingly, you might notice in my first version of planning out details, I drew in a chamber in the middle square, but my teacher came by and said immediately that smth like that will ruin the illusion of depth right away. So, you see how it switches from a down-up view to a top-down view during this camera tilt? Yeah well during the first half of that, you'd be looking up at the ceiling, and would be unable to see the "floor"on any of the upper ledges. Same with the latter half of the pan, you'd only see the floor, and the "ceiling"of the corridors for example are not visible. But then here's suddenly a static room in the middle where both those surfaces are visible, all while you're supposed to be switching between the 2 opposite views. For it to work with the illusion, I'd have to animate the ceiling of that room disappearing out of sight and the floor coming into view in time with the camera movement, which just adds unecessary complications.
A totally unexpected problem, but I'm thankful the teacher caught that so early on! And I'll hopefully remember that in the future as well.

Btw, the fish eye lense might look not exactly right, seeing as the animation teacher wanted the first and last shot of the camera tilt to have normal perspectives - no curved/distorted lines. But the background teacher was basically saying "screw that" because it does indeed look a bit wonky as a whole, so I kinda just did whatever.

Though I'm a bit nervous since we are supposed to clean it up +shade traditionally on paper later :s I totally get that there are things to learn with traditional mediums that you can apply digitally as well, but at the same time I just want to spend every opportunity improving my digital skills since I know I'll 100% most likely won't be using any paper once I start working professionally. Still gonna be invested to do my best, but it is indeed a bit irksome
