Angkor 1 - Background

I have leveled up recently from the backgrounds I did for the animation project and I feel like I have a better grasp on how to render out shapes and forms with just using alternating lighter/darker colors.
The subject matter was of course a perfect opportunity to test out the experience I've gotten, what with the mix between nature and man-made structures. Though I'm unsure if this one turned out too monochrome, or if it looks alright exactly because it is so monochrome? Without the lil splashes of color from the characters, it would've definitely needed some more hue variation.
