Chapter 3: The Moon and its News.

It was a silver beacon in the black ink of the night sky, its bright and distant face familiar and mysterious in ways that could both confuse as much as it enticed early man. From when the Babylonian astronomers first etched its waxing and waning through the night in days when the Shang dynasty was just establishing itself to when Galileo first witnessed its surface through his telescope, marking out mountains and plains across its white surface, the moon had been a fixture of peoples, cultures, and religions across time and regions of the planet.

It would take hundreds of years after Galileo's time, countless advancements in science and engineering, tragedies, blood, and an international geopolitical dick-measuring contest for man to get any meaningly closer to the moon with the Apollo 11 moon missing sending the first 3 men to the moon, where they would land in the Mare Tranquillitatis.

“That’s one small step for man…one giant leap for mankind.”

Neil Armstrong's famous words were a short statement that had gone to be carved into the fabric of humanity. Maybe he realized their weight, or maybe he didn't. All that mattered was that mission; his presence on the moon turned humanity's development up to 11 and then some. Further developments were made, and more breakthroughs, better processes, and products were linked to that moment. Over 60 years later, humanity would return to the moon, and this time, it wasn't just national governments that sent up people but corporations seeking to build on the work of the Apollo landings.

That pale grey and silvery white surface, once lifeless with no signs of life aside from the Lunar landing site, had little dots. It was impossible to see from Earth without a telescope, but as one got closer, they could make out dozens of them spread across its surface. Giant domes surrounded by what seemed to be expanses of solar panel farms and protected from asteroids by a system of multi-layer missile sites and high-grade laser cannons.

And within the vast depths of Mare Serenitatis, it was no different as a spaceship slowly flew in. Triumphant was a much older vessel, 20 years old, but one that had been kept up to date. Its hull dwarfed the space shuttles of decades past, being nearly as long as a football field. Its hull was fitted with sleek graphene‑ceramic composite skin that self‑heals and shimmers in starlight.

To its rear, its twin magnetogravitic drive nacelles started to power down as they reached their guided landing path. Its branching solar‑sail arrays along its spine folded like wings to minimize their size on final approach. Across its body, observation domes bled into the living quarters and other spaces across the ship, and bioluminescent veins pulsed along the hull, recycling waste heat into a soft ambient glow.

Beneath the Triumphant, dotting the lunar surface were kilometres of solar farms and heat sinks connected to the smaller domes that occupied the face. Even the smaller ones had a radius well over 2km, and their dorms nearly reached half a kilometer in height.

Their destination was the one at the centre, a shining example of human spirit and engineering in its sheer size. Looking on from the cockpit of the spaceship, Midoriya was still in awe of it, mentally going over the states for such a structure.

A 9th-generation extra-planetary settlement of the project Springfield initiative. A radius of 16km and a max dome height of 1.8km, with a thickness at the base being 1.6km, thinning out to 560m at the top. It boasts 40 levels of underground levels and facilities going 600m into the moon and currently hosts a population of over 60 million, though it’s rated to support over 100 million depending on the-

"I would ask if you're accessing info on Kamino off the net, but knowing you, you're just remembering all that." Midoriya’s face went bright red as his commander and instructor joked.

“Sorry, sir!” Midoriya bowed to the man, floating through the cockpit like the other students. The students dressed differently from the staff, who wore more casual clothing or warm parts of the uniform, whereas the students had been wearing their college space program's dress uniforms.

His instructor and the captain of the Triumphant, Captain Kurose Anan, let out a merry laugh, taking no issue with her student's mumbling habit.

“No need to be so happy, my boy. Your knowledge is something to be appreciated, and in this line of work, it’ll go a long way,” the seasoned mentor reminded them, her wise, passionate, and well-mannered hazel eyes assuring him of the sincerity of her words. Or give you an extra tool not to end up dead, with your body lost to the uncaring and cold whims of space."

One of Midoriya's classmates and fellow trainee astronauts didn't take kindly to their teachers' sense of humor. “Mam, that is highly inappropriate.” The tall, broad‑shouldered, and muscular Iida warned. The boy was a picture of crisp and proper with no flaw in his appearance, from his dark blue hair neatly parted to the side and a shaved patch at the base. His polished rectangular glasses were perfectly on his nose, and a uniform where a stain, if he existed, had been eradicated before he ever stepped foot on the bridge.

"Come on, what's a little dark humor, Iida? We deserve to laugh a little. We've just passed out finals!" Mina, by contrast, was much easygoing, even now, as did front lips through the cockpit, much to Iida's ineffective scolding.

Mina was someone that Midoriya could never find anything mean to say about her. Despite her demeanor and…less than stellar grades, she was still a hard worker in her own right. A woman who kept in shape and earned her place in the U.A.'s space program, an impressive feat considering that even in this world, while the U.A. was a university, it was still a near herculean task to even be accepted, much less make it through their first year like they all had.

Moreover, Midoriya had learned over their time together as classmates and friends that she was just someone who enjoyed the smaller things in life, a social butterfly with an eye for fashion and more confidence in one hand than he had in his entire body.

Because she desired to be as open and dynamic as possible, she had gone through a cosmetic procedure right at the start of the school year, which resulted in her coming to class with skin as pink as her hair, her scleras pitch black, and her irises an even brighter yellow than what'd been before.

"Well, if I'm gonna work in space, I will look like an alien queen!" Was her response when their teacher groaned out why she chose, despite knowing it would require all her records to be updated to this new look?

“It was a little scary hauling cargo like that, and through a simulated meteor shower…” Midoriya stated that it had not been in a syllabus and had been pretty terrifying to handle, with plenty of times where Midoriya believed he had made a dangerous mistake that could have resulted in structural damage.

“Sir, was that necessary? Protocols instruct that no vessels are to get within 1000km of a suspected asteroid strike and 5000k away from an asteroid shower." Iida stated.

Kurose hummed, reaching to play with a strand of her navy-blue hair, its roots being as blonde as the sun. "Oh, that is true, and if any of you had steered the ship into it, mistake or not, you might not have passed." She stated that she might have been one of the more relaxed teachers, but she took her job as seriously as any of them. She demanded 110% of them; should they not deliver, they would be told of such.

“However, one must always be prepared as sensors can fail, and meteorological reports can be flawed or of date. Working in space requires you to be the best of the best and to know your craft in and out like the back of your hand…wait, I had a mole." She looked at the back of her hand, a surprised look on her face.

“Sir!” Iida cried out, which made the other students and some of the present crew laugh at the joke.

"I'm joking; you should really lighten up, Iida. Being so stiff might just bite you in the butt." Kurose told him as she managed to reign in her laughter.

"Iida being relaxed? Now, I'll pay money to see that." Hanta Sero quipped to Kirishima Ejiro. The former was a friendly and dependable guy, from what Midoriya had seen, being almost as sociable as Mina but with fewer parties and more deep discussions about anything and everything. He had known him the longest, as he transferred to Midoriya's school in his 3rd year of middle school. They've been right since, being one of the few kids who didn't pick on him for being an alien or weak since he wasn't a genetically altered human.

The latter of the two was a beast of a man who, despite being younger than Midoriya, made him feel like a freshman in high school all over again. Being well over 1.9m tall with a body that emphasized how much he worked out, despite being as quirkless as he was, Midoriya could buy this guy fighting villains with minor strength quirks and winning with ease. He certainly had the personality of a true hero: outgoing, noble, brave, honest, kind-hearted, and friendly. It was easy to see how he and Mina had been friends since middle school.

Sero looked Midoriya's way, but so did the rest. Muttering that he hated being on the spot, he went with the middle-road answer. “He is…well, he’s driven and dependable.”

That didn't impress Iida, who could read between the lines. But before he could respond that he was merely trying to live up to his family name, Mina came swinging in, latching onto his arm like a baby koala.

"Don't sweat it, Iida! Once we disembark, we're officially going on spring break, and I know I have a friend here at Kamino who can show us the sites and maybe have a little fun." She wiggled her eyebrows, a naughty smile on her face.

Iida was strict, not naïve, and again, could pick up what she was putting down. “I do not like what you’re implying, Ashido.”

"How many times do I have to tell you? Call me Mina! We're friends, aren't we?" She lightly scolded him, which got more smiles from the present audience, Midoriya included, as Mina just had that effect on people. “And come on, live a little. I’m not saying you should go and become a fuck boy-” Iida yelled at the comparison, but she moved on before he could make any fuss about it.

"Come to a club or two, party it up, get a little tipsy, and head back to our place with a fine girl on your arm; you know that the ladies love a man in uniform." She teased him, pulling a little on his tie.

“Midori, you’re coming too!” She turned to Midoriya without warning.

“Me?” He pointed to himself.

“Yes, you! All you do is work, work, work! You’re just as bad as Iida over here.” Iida again protested, but she brushed it aside. "Like, I respect the hell outta you for it. It's really impressive and inspiring to see you make it this far, but even you need to have some fun- and calling your mom doesn't count!" She shut his retort down.

The jovial mood was only broken when their captain got a report. Her eyes flashed as she reviewed the details, causing her smile to shrink into a frown.

“Captain? Something wrong?” The second in command for the finals, a 3rd year, asked.

“Seems like we have 2 unflagged vessels in the vicinity,” Kurose replied, which grabbed everyone's attention—and for good reason, as unflagged vessels were rarely benign. They could be pirates or, worse, terrorists. Lucky for us, we're close to docking, so we'll leave it to the defence forces to keep an eye on them. If they're criminals, they'll be handled."

Midoriya wasn't comfortable with doing nothing, but as much as he wished they had headed out, there wasn't much they could do. Aside from basic defenses, they were an unarmed vessel. Launching a boarding operation with their limited crew would be just as foolhardy.

He just hoped that it wouldn’t end up getting people hurt.

“Still, to have criminals and bad guys like this even in space, it’s real unmanly.” Kirishima sighed.

Sero shrugged. "Hey, where there's something worth stealing, someone is willing to steal it. This place hosts some pretty advanced research sites, and some people will kill to get their hands on it to sell."

"Not to mention all the element processing sites, but I would never hit a place this big; they'll be way too much heat on your ass for that." Leave it to Yanagi to be the blunt one out of the group. She wasn’t even looking up from where she was messing around with her droid. She'd modified it to look like it was made from scarp and ghost blood, which were just dirty white sheets.

All crew, we'll be entering the harbor in 10 minutes. Please be advised that we'll soon be affected by gravity. Ensure that all preparations have been made according to procedures.” The 3rd year, Amajiki Tamaki called out over the ship's P.A system as they lined up with the laser runway, tugs coming out to help guide them in and ensure they couldn't suddenly gain speed.

"Ever the stickler for the rules, Suneater?" Kurose asked, to which Amajiki only sighed at the reminder of the nickname he had unknowingly earned, all because of a meme his best friend had made about him, which got popular around campus.

“Someone has to be with you in command.” He mumbled, keeping his attention on his tasks. The rest laughed at the retort, Kurose acting as if she had been shot, and she fell over in her seat.

“Arg-have you no heart?” She cried out.

Once they had docked and been slotted into a pier, artificial gravity came into effect, but everyone had been aware of that. Unlike when they had all first ventured into space, none found themselves finding out what the floor cleaner tasted like this time around.

Kurose, the instructor who had managed their finals, seemed to be in good spirits with all of them and said that if they had worked as hard as they did on the written portion of the exams earlier that week, they could expect to progress into their second years without issue.

Amajiki, being Amajiki, didn't try and make a fuss as he left. Still, their teacher didn't let him go without the entire crew and the class of 20 first years thanking him for his efforts and wishing him a wonderful career as he had only volunteered to just the last technical day of his time at U.A. to help, he had already completed all the necessary classes. He aced his finals so much like the rest of his grade, and he was no longer a student.

Gathering their things, the students also disembarked, and once they got through security, they could enter the greater space terminal area. Still, in their uniforms, they stuck out. Still, Midoriya could blend in well enough with the group, as the last thing he wanted was attention on him, not when he was supposed to be relaxing.

Looking around, Midoriya noted how busy the place was, with thousands coming and going on flights that, according to the announcements and schedule posting, would take them to other lunar cities, to Earth, and as far as Mars. And much like airports had been like back home, there were plenty of stores present, selling all manner of things to tourists or locals to take with them on their trip, but what was different was the fact most stores, even if they had different brand names, were all owned by the same mega-corporation.

Now, that wasn't surprising, as while the city was still under nominal Japanese authority and law, it, like many other settlements, had been funded primarily by corporations and conglomerates for their own gains. In this case, research and resource extraction from which the Yaoyorozu group made tens of billions. One wouldn't see the processing plants as they were far beneath the surface to keep things as marketable as possible.

“All right, people, here’s the plan!” Mina declared, hands on her hips as she faced them like a proper commander. "We head to the dorms and pack our stuff up, book a hotel, and find the best clubs in town."

“Or you could wait for a local to show you around?” Someone spoke up behind her, which only made her squeal in joy as she turned and jumped the person.

“Kyoka!” Mina cried as she hugged the person, allowing the group to inspect them. The first thing they could pick up was how different they were from Mina. Petite and fair-skinned was the first difference between them; Mina being slightly taller only made that a greater contrast. While one eye was closed as Mina squished their faces together, they could see she had triangular, lazy-looking onyx eyes with notably long lower eyelashes and rather small eyebrows.

However, seeing that was enough for the group to instantly recognize the woman standing before them, even though she was out of stage attire and wearing more casual clothing.

“Wait, that’s your friend?! You’re friends with her?” Sero pointed at the two; Midoriya's jaw dropped at the sight of Kyoka Jiro, of all people, a rising superstar, Andromeda V. IN fact, now that Midoriya and the rest realized that, they saw that Jiro came with 5 security who were keeping the rest of the crowds back and for Midoriya's luck-attention off him.

“Oh yeah, she is. Didn’t she tell you?” Kirishima asked, acting like this was common knowledge, which caused the rest to turn to him and yell.

“No!”

“Oh my god, if you give me an autograph, I can die happy.” Sero offered up his notebook, to which Jiro looked it over and rolled her eyes.

"To avoid the manslaughter charges, that'll be a hard no." She shot him down as Sero went white in shock, leaving Yanagi to step up.

"Well, I will die if you don't pose for a picture with me, " she said, holding up her ghost robot.

“Well, to avoid that murder charge, I can handle a selfie.” Jiro pulled out a marker from her pocket, which she undoubtedly kept in hand, and sighed Yanagi's robot across the face.

“Hey!” Sero took offense to that, especially when he saw Jiro smirking as Mina giggled into her hands.

"Mina, when did you two even meet?" Midoriya focused on that part, as Mina wasn't one who kept secrets, and none could ever see Mina hiding who she was friends with. But maybe Jiro asked her? The girl probably was like the heroes of his home world and wished to keep their private lives just that.

"Long story, involves hot candy, shredded pants, and a yappy dog." Mina started, which got her looks of disbelief from all except Midoriya, who, after all he had seen, would buy anything. "Like I said, long story. We split in high school as she moved here to chase her dreams."

"I would say she's more than made it. Didn’t you sell out the Hoshino center?" Sero brought up, which only made Jiro groan into her hands as she recalled how stressed she got in the lead-up, and for good reasons.

The Hoshino Centre was Kamino's premier entertainment venture, built to host all manner of performances, whether in the arts or sports. It was also the biggest stadium on the moon and could seat 250,000 people. Jiro's show didn't just sell out; according to the stats that Sero found online after the fact, over 71 million people tuned in to watch her performance live.

“Don’t remind me! That performance was terrifying.” Jiro had lost so much sleep that one night, and if not for her coaches and parents being with her the entire time, even behind stage giving her corny thumbs-up, she might have frozen and made a fool out of herself.

Kirishima certainly didn’t think she did a bad job of it. "And you nailed it; look at you. You not only got booked for the Hoshino Center, even as just the opening act to Lala Lai, but you totally beat them and everyone else out by being the youngest artist to perform them ever!"

"We made sure to watch your show the other day when it came. We would have gone in person, but." Mina whined crocodile tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, you guys had finals. Mina over here kept crying about it when we spoke over the Holo phone." Jiro replied, having no hard feelings about it; it was just poor timing.

“Can you blame me? I’ve never missed any of your shows. Not since your talent show performance back in middle school.” Mina told her, as she had vowed, she would be the friend that came to all her shows and would try and buy a piece of all her merch, even the shitty stuff that they could make fun of.

“So, aside from any possible embarrassing pictures Mina definitely has on our superstar,” Yanagi stated, ignoring how panicked Jiro looked at the definite possibility. “You know any good clubs in town?”

Glaring at the spooky-looking girl, Jiro took a breath and calmed herself before she answered. “There’s Black Spire here on the surface. I've done a couple shows there, and it's a pretty chill spot, but there's also 79s' on the 14th level, and well, if you want to really party and not remember half of it, end down there."

Sero chuckled at the last description. “Speaking from experience?” he asked, to which Jiro claimed she could never confirm or deny such, only that there would be no images or other evidence he could ever find that could prove one way or the other.

Iida chopped his hand at that. "If I'm to partake in some merriment, I would rather remember the experience."

"Then it's Black Spire. Here, I'll send you the details. Wait, I don't have your numbers." Jiro stopped, as she only had Kirishima and Mina's numbers. Getting them from them, her contacts flashed as she accessed her ship. All of them got a notification on their HUDs, Midoriya seeing it in the corner of his eye. With just his thoughts, he opened the message and confirmed it was a request to accept Jiro's number.

Doing so, she sent him the details of the spot, including its prices, activities, and directions, which would auto-update, demanding where he was in the city so long as he was in said city. "And done. Gotta bounce. I was supposed to meet with my manager but ditched him to meet you guys. See you later!" With that, she turned and jogged off, her security closely behind her to keep the now-crowding fans away from her.

“Catch you later, bestie!” Mina called out to her. Seeing her vanish, she turned to the group at large, one where the interest of the people was waning now that the pop star was gone. Well, you heard her. We're hitting the Black Spire later. But before then, anyone up for some VR? I heard that the new Calamity game dropped."

“I’m going to have to pass.” Midoriya gave an apologetic smile as Mina’s dropped.

“What, what noy, Midori?” He hated seeing her like this, as she had the most fun when she saw others having fun.

"I just got a message, Hatsume, to see me on campus." He stated that it came more from their science branch in particular, so it probably meant that they either needed his help to distract Hatsume or she forgot to send the message again.

"Well, good luck, my friend. If you don't return, I shall honor your memory and care for your comics and toys." Sero teased him.

“They’re graphic novels and action figures. Some are just figurines.” Midoriya retorted, as while he could never get official merch of the heroes he grew up with or even know what new stuff would have come out in the 5 years, he's been trapped in this reality; he had gotten in touch with someone who could create a lot of the merch from his memories.

That was why he had several posters of All Might, some of his figurines, and those for Edgeshot, Gang Orca, and Midnight. The last one Sero liked the most.

"Doesn't stop you from playing with them like toys; I've seen what you're like with that rare ‘All Might’ figurine.” At Sero’s comment, Midoriya turned to run off, though he hadn’t turned fast enough for the group to miss his face going red.

“Gotta go!”

Just to have the last laugh, Sero yelled at him. "You can run but can't hide from the truth!"

U.A.'s campus, at least their Lunar one, was located in the eastern district, taking up three levels of space. Lucky for him, getting there was easy enough. While his friends could take the train, he used a bus as the route at this hour wouldn't be congested.

On arrival, he walked through the main gates without issue, appreciated the stunning architecture of the many buildings that dotted the top layer of the institution, and walked through to the science department, a route he knew well. While he wasn't confined to Tokyo University or Japan anymore, he was required to have regular check-ups through them to continue to study him.

It was also for his health, as unlike others who had their genes altered before birth or were born to parents who were, he wasn't and thus could be suspectable of all manner of diseases and illnesses that others weren't. He could still recall the panic that befell Shigaraki and the rest when he got a mild case of the common cold, though there, it was as common as cases of smallpox.

All that time around, doctors and researchers did help him get to where he was. While it was optional, he had chosen to enter their space program with additional classes to get a degree in Neural, mechanical, and robotics Engineering with material science on the side. It was all difficult, but not nearly as much as studying anyone would have been in the past.

Because of that, he recognized some students moving about this section of campus and waved at them, getting waves in turn as he approached Hatsume's lab.

Reaching for the door, he hadn’t even let the system scan his chip when the door exploded off his hinges.

'I should have seen this coming.' Midoriya could only blame himself as he was thrown back by the blast. As it died down and his hearing returned, he found himself in pain, covered in soot, and with a familiar person on his chest.

"Ouchies..that hurt." A feminine voice complained that belonging to the woman on his chest. She was equally soot-covered as he was, but she beamed at him when she spotted the person who had unwittily acted as a mattress. "Oh, hey, Mr. 10 million. Long time no see."

Midoriya would have responded to Hatsume's friendly greeting…if his face wasn't pressed up against her ridiculous bust, one which, even through her thick shift and lab coat, always conveyed how soft and full they were. They also always managed to get his blood flowing in 2 directions, which he didn't wish to discuss.

Line Break

"Sorry about the door. You needed something?" Hatsume asked as they picked themselves up, the 26-year-old, as always, unphased by the explosion that had just rocked her lab.

Having calmed himself, she noticed that a part of him had been happy to have her atop him; Izuku cut right to the heart of things. "Good morning, Professor Hatsume. I was summoned here by the science branch. They said I needed to see you about something."

Hatsume’s smile didn’t change, but she did look a little confused. “Why would they do that? Don't you have those pesky finals to study up for?"

“I did, but they ended this morning…professor, when was the last time you left the lab, or you know…slept or showered?” Midoriya asked as he noticed the wicked bags under her eyes and the stench in the room, a mix of a locker room and an unclean auto shop.

Hatsume needing to think about that didn’t inspire confidence. "Hmmm, I don't know, I had babymaking to do. Who girls if a girl gets a little sweaty." She shrugged, completely missing the double meaning in that statement, but with Hatsume, it was hard to get flustered over what she said. She didn't mean any of it if she even knew what she said to begin with.

“Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to convince her to leave to shower.” One of the androids came up, Miyo if Izuku recalled their names right. Part of a line of units Hatsume had developed in middle school. Even then, the girl was a prodigy as her first-gen android could compete with some of those on the market, and she's not stopped since, with these ones being the latest models.

“As for the last time she slept, it was around 32 hours and 12 minutes ago. She had a 3-hour power nap before she snapped away like a tool being turned on." Another sighed at their 'mother's' lack of self-care, as they and their siblings could try for hours to get her to stop, but she never listened, if she heard them at all.

"Professor…" Midoriya bemoaned this, as Hatsume might have been his senior and one of the brightest minds in reality, already chock-full of bright minds. Still, she was like a toddler when it came to anything not related to science. "Please, go take a shower."

Hatsume frowned, wanting to argue, but Midoriya had to put his foot down. Seeing all her babies turning on her only made her pout as she put down her tools. "Oh fine, honestly, you and the rest can get so hung up on such needless things, you stay here for…whatever reason they summoned you. Maybe I'll remember why you asked you here, and if not, you'll be free to do so as I focus on my precious babies!" She turned and marched off towards the back, where she had installed a bathroom for this very situation, allowing her to never need to leave for such little things.

Midoriya only looked away, as right as he expected, she was already stripping as she made her way over to the showers, treating her lab as her bedroom, and Midoriya did not wish to violate her privacy by eyeing her, even if the woman lacked any shame.

One of the androids, Maya, sighed. "I'll accompany her to ensure she doesn't pass out in the showers." The unsaid ‘again’ was as clear as the explosion that had greeted Midoriya when he arrived as the dutiful daughter followed her mother into the baths.

20 minutes later, Hatsume returned from the showers, looking and smelling fresher. Wearing a fresh pair of clothing, it was easier for one to take in her appearance and conclude that she was gorgeous. Her salmon pink hair was long, styled into thick dreadlocks that she tied into a ponytail that reached the small of her back. Those framing her face were of unequal length, the right one being longer than the right by what looked to be 3 inches.

She was a tall woman, taller than him by a couple of inches, with a full figure that came with a notable amount of muscle from the years of work she put in just into her projects, as he knew she didn't work out. Excitable and, most times, intense green-yellow eyes made anyone she looked at feel like another project of hers.

"Oh, I remember now. I have some good news to share with you. We might have a way to open a portal to your world." Hatsume dropped like it was nothing, and her delivery took a minute for Midoriya's mind to process. When it did, he did the only thing he could.

“….What?!”

And with that, we've come to the end of this little side project. I have to admit, while I did enjoy writing it, it's more of a niche thing considering the stats. It's not a dead idea, but compared to A World of Quirks, it's not bringing in the same readers, you know. So I'll bench it, but hey, it's gotten better treatment than most of WIPS, which don't even get a Word doc, much less a folder of stuff like this did.

Now, I had some difficulties with the chapter as I wanted to write something of a good send-off, considering that I'll be leaving the story on the shelf. Still, at the same time, I didn't want to just skip past what could be loads of story material for when I do come back. So, I settled into a sort of middle ground that works to both ends. However, one issue that I had NO idea to do with for the longest time was heteromorphs, as it's not as if they wouldn't be born; they'll just be quirkless, which can throw you off if you know.

LIne Break

To clear things up, at this point, Izuku's 19. And yes, we skipped his middle and high school story. Hatsume being the same felt like a funny thing to do, making it seem that she's seemingly a universal constant. If she exists, she's Hatsume-full stop. Of course, I don't plan for him to just…return should I work on chapter 4. Still, I wanted to set that up now so it could be built on later as he explores this world, as I wanted to even have Yaomomo in this chapter but couldn't fit in more than just the mention of the fact her family's stupidly rich and powerful here.
