Non-standard Usage of the Kobold
Added 2022-01-06 11:01:34 +0000 UTCOne of a few Kobold usability is to issue a follow command on the courier as the creep itself is not that useful at level one outside of scouting and stacking or as a boot to an aggressive core hero (Ursa, Slark).
Based level one courier has 290 MS, the Kobold gives +34 which is significant. If you haven't noticed yet - there is a rule in the game that says: if your courier carries any number of consumables - the courier is slowed by 15%. Apply it to the level one courier and a mere mango will reduce the movement speed by 15% or -44: from 290 to 246.
However, if there is the Kobold nearby, it basically removes that 15% penalty and you have a courier with the MS of 281 (or 324 if it carries no consumables).
Simply rightclick on a friendly courier (say: your mid's) and let it follow it for a few mins.
The courier to be followed should be placed OUTSIDE the fountain aura so it has no "Spell Immunity" - auras do not work on invulnerable units.
