So, other than swearing from stressed people, it'd probably be PG-13-esque (like, Jurassic Park was PG-13, as was Cloverfield, Dark Knight, Casino Royale, and somehow Temple of Doom was PG which is just WEIRD. Like, the heart scene alone you'd think... I'm getting sidetracked). There's going to be no sex, the violence will be about what you saw here (maybe a bit more), and while there will be horror and dark elements, at least in book 1 you won't see it directly, and they're a lot more conceptual than randomly going 'how about some rrrrraaaaape!' out of nowhere like other 'dark' stories like to do (Yes, I'm aware of the use of that element in my other stories, but they don't come out of nowhere, and my stories are dark enough on their own even without that). If it were a video game, it's honestly a toss-up if it'd be T for Teen or M for Mature due to the Intense Violence & Blood (the fight in this chapter is about as bad as it's going to get, but the Blood Reloads alone would tip it from Violence into Intense Violence), Strong Language (The aforementioned Swearing, though I'm not sure if it'd get downgraded to just regular 'Language' as. even in this chapter's situation, they weren't swearing every third line), and Mature Humor (that 'that's the only way you'd get a girl' joke, for instance, but, again, it's not going to be constant). So, yeah, it's a Dark Eldritch Fantasy Psuedo-Isekei, but, at least for this book, it's very much going to be the intro/shallow end of the pool, where the worse stuff is alluded to, or warned about, but never seen directly. That's what later books are for, but even then I don't think it'll ever get gratuitous, as I don't really think I cross that line in my main works either. If I had a 13 year old, it'd probably be fine for them to read, though these are very much College-aged kids, and if things weren't as bad as they are there might be some hooking up, but throughout book 1 that's not gonna happen, and seeing as this is going to be meant for a wider audience than QQ any sex scenes would fade to black before they got more explicit than kissing and holding each other passionately. Like, loving relationships need more representations in fiction, but nothing explicit like DR and ACE is going to happen is what I'm saying. Hope this helps!

Damn, that was a prime example of Darwinism in effect. I mean if you're too stupid to realize that rushing the uber wolf is a bad idea you're too stupid to pass on your genes to the next generation. Well done, the first chapter tickled those of us who like Lovecraft with the name of the school, the second chapter confirmed that this was an isekai story, though it could be anything between a quickly written light novel (for those who don't know how much you love world building) to the Chronicles of Narnia. This chapter hooks us like a fish with the action, wonderful description of monsters that are either original or just rare enough that I can't name off the top of my head, caping everything with the on screen death of a confirmed asshole. How adult are you planning to go on this? I ask because I have a soon to be 13 year old nephew who enjoys fantasy that may enjoy this if it's in his age range. Or I can just wait until it's published and he'll be old enough for you to read whatever you put in there.

Honestly, looking forward to getting glimpses of their home life. It would be very interesting if all their parents went through something similar. Groups of families that would look “oddly close” to the kids now would make a ton of sense. At least I think that would be interesting from a world building perspective.

Also, as far as book titles go...Miskatonic Opportunities is pretty catchy. As a chapter title if nothing else.

Liking this so far. Can't shake the feeling that it is all some sort of training exam, so something makes me doubt everyone is entirely dead. I liked the fight scene, it had good pacing and tension. I can tell you've been writing Draconian Remnant recently, because the wolves very much reminded me of Grimm.

You know, if he had just said the greeting, everyone would be so confused and second guessing themselves. But by saying it's a specific greeting he is intentionally using, it adds so much context and meaning to the situation. Outlanders can refer to a lot of things, but the greeting immediately identifies he knows exactly who they are (kids from America), them being transported here is expected and planned for, and the kids have a solid reason to trust what they say. I'm reminded of a story from WW2. In Japanese POW camps, one of the ways soldiers tested new prisoners as being real or plants was by knocking the start of the shave and a haircut, two bits jingle. If the new guy knocked the last part it helped prove they were American. Since when they were kids they would have heard it every day from one of the few TV shows on air at the time.
