Life Update lol!!!

Hi everyone! This is something I have been meaning to write for... a few months now lol, but the uncertainty of how things would go had me doubtful on whether I should say anything or not, but things seem to be getting brighter so finally some explanation of how things are going on my end!

First of all, I think it has been noticeable that my output has greatly decreased this year, something that I do feel super sorry about and I'm trying my best to go back to my usual pace. Endless thanks to the people who have been patient with me in regards to commissions, too. I'm extremely grateful to all of you who have kept supporting me despite my shortcomings.
Reason for the general slowdown being:

I'm in the planning stages of studying abroad in Japan!!!!

From March to July I was spending a lot of time studying everyday to make sure I could pass the N5 JLPT test, something mandatory for getting a study visa. Luckily I can share that yes I indeed approved it! And currently am in talks with the school, document hunting finances etc. etc. not fun but very exciting nonetheless. Fingers crossed everything keeps going well!

I mention the study time frame because like, normally I stick to drawing all the time and don't give myself any time for breaks. For example I'm extremely against playing games because "it's a waste of time I could be drawing", (been learning to be easier on myself though... tough lesson to learn!) but given how important it was to pass the test I started to get the same attitude towards drawing "why am I drawing it's a waste of time I should be studying". Not healthy and even detrimental since, this is my job lol, but I had put a lot of pressure on myself over this. Thankfully once again all that is out of the way and I'm in a much better place now.

Sometime during those months I was also tasked with some private work that I can't say anything about, I was hoping by now it would have been released but oh well!!! I'm still pretty pleased with how it came out, fingers crossed it sees the light of the day soon.

Private work + studying basically made any work outside of commissions go down in the priority list. Personal stuff, comics, etc etc are things I would have liked to be caught up and be actively working on but life said otherwise.

Slowly finally catching up with the backlog, almost completely up to date (only 3 more left from being EXTREMELY overdue...) and I'm already feeling myself going back to my quicker pace. I hope it's a noticeable change this month!

I will most likely write a few more updates in the future depending how things go. If everything goes well soooome things will change, too early to say but we will see.

It's a bit scary to be sharing more personal things because like... if things don't work out I feel like I'm disappointing everyone lmao, but since it directly affects the way things go here I think some transparency is needed.
