the sword pull (diagram concept)
Added 2021-05-26 22:54:20 +0000 UTCTO accompany the animation boards, this is the intended function of the sword pull for the prologue. The Omega blade is semi-sentient and it's timesteel (abyssium) is so dense and old as the universe, that it's mere presence distorts the maze (see the rock deformations upon leveling the blade).
crash course: abyssium is the fictional metal in Abysm which has a 4D property of timespan, allowing the physical properties to span across time furthering how strong it is rather than a 3D object. the longer the timespan, the more powerful it is. Omega has no calculable age, so it is assumed to be as old as the Abyss, and possibly the universe. However, it makes him near impossible to swing outside of the pocket dimension and therefore has to be used very differently on Surface.
