EYON: Fantasy - Chapter 1 - Prologue

Marin's backstory you saw in Chapter 4 of Silver Age inspired this rewrite of the hero's backstory for THIS universe. Hope to have more to come as I go about working on my other projects as I claw my way out of my writer's block.
Synopsis: On the continent of Eyon- a world of swords and sorcery- deep in a mystic wood, a hermit finds a baby left alive in a wagon in the wake of a horrible monster attack. Alongside an elven mage and master huntress, they raise the boy into a strong warrior. Years later, the young, unassuming hero embarks upon a quest across this world in search of thrills, companionship, and adventure.

Basically he was the titular and crowned Hero who protected the continent from evil- basically who you would have regarded as the MC once upon a time. He may or may not have defeated the Demon King and their army a long time ago in his prime, and has now since retired.
