Up in the clouds
Added 2022-10-18 21:56:55 +0000 UTCKaylee's finally taller than the clouds... even when she's in the valley, and not standing on the Hollywood Hills like the end of last chapter. I'm really liking how these clouds are looking, they're fully 3D and volumetric! It's the same cloud model I used at the end of last chapter, but this time I put a bunch of smaller clouds together instead of just having one really big one.

Would be funny if jets tried to attack her again at that size. Although the navy would probably be a better fit since battleships are larger. She could pick up an aircraft carrier or something.
2022-10-23 04:27:37 +0000 UTCYes, and worse, these scenes kept crashing a bunch until I tweaked some of the settings and simplified the scene in other ways. It turned out that, for one thing, I had completely forgotten to get rid of the cargo plane! it was sitting there off-screen for most of the renders this chapter, eating up memory for absolutely no good reason. I also subdivided the big LA map a lot less, but it's not really noticable.
