Some renders, like the above one, look pretty good with the filter... others, less so. It seems to work best for close-ups of characters. Gives it a look that reminds me of the GTA 4/5 cover art. For stuff like buildings and particle effects, though, it can look pretty artificial, and it looks odd in certain lighting conditions.
