Squash Match, and, "Will Ann Grow?"

Squash Match 16 is coming along swimmingly, I'm mostly just waiting for the final draft of the script. I thought I'd take a minute to address a question I've gotten a few times before:

"Will Ann grow?"

Squash Match has been story with slow growth until this point, and aside from my love of mini-giantesses (and hatred of that oxymoronic term, there really needs to be a better way to say that,) I feel like having Ann rapidly grow would be inconsistent with the story. I know there were some teases of Ann rapidly growing, but that was the point; they were a fantasy within a fantasy. The story is about Ann realizing she doesn't need to be a hundred feet tall to have the kind of power she always wanted... And then utterly abusing that power.

Ann has typically grown within and between chapters before, but those chapters took place over days and weeks, and the growth mostly happened when she was sleeping. The rampage chapters take place within a single day, in a period no longer then ten hours or so. It would be inconsistent with the story to have her grow so much in a much, much shorter amount of time.

That's not to say there's no growth, but it will be subtle, and have less to do with Ann's height than some other... attributes. Of course, if Ann survives her rampage and makes it out of town alive, it's possible she'll grow significantly in later chapters. But don't expect her to double her height in the course of a growth sequence or anything! It's not that kind of comic.

Sorry for the very minor spoilers. I just wanted to make sure people knew what they were getting going into the comic!
