Lighting test - Sugar Pills Power edition
Added 2016-01-05 06:17:00 +0000 UTCTesting out two different lighting methods once again. On top is "direct lighting," which uses a lot of short-cuts for fast renders, and lacks true shadows. On bottom is "path tracing," which has more realistic, darker shadows as well as sub-surface shading. and generally more realistic lighting. I'm not really sure which one I prefer this time; #2 makes it look like it's later in the evening, and is more dramatic, but with #1 it's just easier to see what's going on and at first glance it almost looks better. Also, some of you may have noticed that the header of the Sugar Pills Power 2 PDF said Sugar Pills Power 3. Well, Cpt Xero pointed that out to me, and now it says 2 once more. Those of you who already downloaded the version with the mistake, better hold onto it; it's a collector's edition now!
