This show's timeline is actually very confusing cuz they barely ever talk about it and the only thing that appears is "18 years after the commission" like bruh what does that even mean?! But yeah you're probably right about the X thing although they do really look similar for sure

2025-07-30 12:34:16 +0000 UTCI'm gonna point out that we saw at the start of episode 15 that Ghostblade was the one who killed Sheng, though we don't know whose orders he was acting on (based on the events of this episode, I'm guessing either Vortex or someone in the commission). Also reminder that X is the title for whoever is the current number 1 hero, so the X in this episode, Vortex, (probably) isn't the same person as THE "X" who defeated Bowa and Queen in the tournament and has been X ever since (given that that happened in year 36 and this is taking place in year... 21 or 22 I think? This show's timeline is hard af to keep track of). I say probably because they do look similar, although Vortex looks much older and has a scar that "X" doesn't have. Maybe they're related somehow?
