Yeah I really loved that setup it made the whole fight 10 times better and added a lot to Yumichika's character!

2025-06-23 11:16:16 +0000 UTCYeah, even though most of it is dumb comic relief, this fight is low key one of my favourite fights in this arc purely because of that bit at the end where Yumichika uses his real power. Just the whole setup of "Oh, nobody can see or sense us you say? Cool, that means I can finally go all out." is such a classic Bleach moment. Very reminiscent of Ikkaku's Bankai reveal, which seems fitting given that they're such a dynamic duo. (Also, now we know how Yumichika was able to offscreen Hisagi back during the Soul Society arc, if you remember that far back)
