Everytime I read one of these comments, I start visualizing the whole scene again but this time, even cooler than the one in the anime. My boy Kujo really slammed a KING?!

2025-06-05 19:46:47 +0000 UTCI thought I posted this but I didn’t lol So in this volume there are a few differences from the novel but nothing of real substance so I’ll just go over the parts that stand out to me or do some character building. So this whole arc Victorique was trying to keep Kujo and everyone away because it was too dangerous. This case involves the king and the ministry of science on one side while the other side the ministry of occult is trying to use their secret weapon Victorique to gain leverage over the king and deal a firm blow against the ministry of science. So one of the more lighthearted sides of these events is Cordelia's friendship with her fellow dancer Ginger who was also the older lady both Victorique and Kujo met and talked with. They had a pretty deep friendship to the point where Ginger would constantly remember Cordelia and wonder what happened to her and was really happy to meet her daughter. At the end of the arc she sees Brain and Cordelia walk past her, who mistakes Victorique. She tells her that she would like to talk about Cordelia with her again as they pass by each other. But she hers a familiar voice singing to her one of the songs they used to sing together on stage. She hurriedly turns around but the two vanish before she could completely turn around. Ginger then continues on her way home with tears in her eyes as she continues the song. Sadly another doing my boy Kujo dirty moments is in this arc of the anime. So as your now aware the two men who confront Kujo and Victorique at the end of the arc are the king and Roget. So unlike the anime Kujo and Victoriqueor separated at this point she is instead with her father who gets upset because she tells him she can’t solve the mystery entirely since It's been too long. In a fit of rage her father leaves taking all his officials and Grevil with him leaving Victorique alone as the crowd leaves the theatre. The king and Roget notices this and tries to kill Victorique while no one is around the king sneaks up behind her and is about to snap her neck. However Kujo who had been looking for her in the theater this entire time manages to slam the king away just in time and gets into a scuffle with Roget before pulling away to stand in front of Victorique. This is where Victorique then finishes solving the crime now that her father isn’t around to take advantage of it. The moment she names the king the murderer and gives sound reasoning as to how Roget rushes forward in a charge which is described as a black bullet to attack her. Kujo grabs Victorique and shoves her under a nearby desk for protection before turning to meet Rogets charge (how does my guy keep ending up in fights with grey wolves?). Unfortunately because he made sure Victorique was safe first he ended up taking the first hit, a punch to his chest from Roget making him lose his breath and a vision black out. However he hangs on and manages to sweep Roget’s legs out, sending him to the ground. He pins Roget down and begins choking him while Roget punches him trying to knock him off. Eventually Kujo flinches and gets shoved off as both fighters pull away and stand protectively in front of Victorique and the King respectively. Kujo stands tall and faces the two men who Roget is grasping his neck and breathing healthy. Victorique finally takes the chance while both sides are recovering to bring up the protection she got from the copse the queens will. The men both question why Victorique didn’t tell her father to which she responds that she just wants to live in peace. She warns both men that if they die she has a way to release the info to the public (Cordelia she sent them the information through the pigeon). She states that she will keep quiet so they better let her and Kujo live. The interaction ends with the king questioning if he was in the queens will at all and what her feeling were towards him to which Victorique responds with saying he lost any chance of knowing that when he killed her. The king then leaves but not before saying that he now learned a lot about the secret weapon of the ministry of the occult and that the second storm is coming and he will use anything he can get his hands on. The next arc is the last one from the anime and will probably be my longest comment yet there are a decent amount of actual differences although the ending remains the same. These events took place in volume 7. The next arc covers volumes 8-9 So I'm looking forward to watching it with you.
