2025-05-26 06:31:08 +0000 UTCAlright here we go there are some decently important information about Brain Roscoe motives left out of the show that’s different from the light novel. He states to Kujo that he was checking in on the little monster (Victorique) to see how see it was growing which comically Kujo is confused at first and Brain irritated has to specify that it’s not her body but her brain that he was checking to see how it’s growing. Brain states he fears Victorique as she easily figured out his connection to her mom and his motives for everything. From one grey wolf to another he feels rage and shame at fact that the chosen grey wolf in his words who has a brain like a labyrinth that contained knowledge both ancient and modern blending the line between the old and new, is being kept by one of the countries nobles as a tool for the next great storm(war) as Europes last and most powerful weapon of the old age. He explains that there are others old lineages like the grey wolves that have their own unique traits that just wish for nothing to change since they are linked to can can only thrive in the old age and are trying their best to fight against a new science driven age where legends and such become a thing of the past. Now to put some respect on my boy Kujo. Light novel Kujo is not as weak like show portrays him as for some reason. I’m going to explain how their whole interaction goes In The novel. Kujo follows Brain into the tower where Brian poses the question to Kujo what is he to Victorique in which Kujo responds as he normally does her friend. Brain laughs in response stating that grey wolfs can’t be friends with humans as human will only use them as tools or be afraid of them. Although the show doesn’t portray it well whenever a grey wolf is talking to most people they tend to feel intimidated or uncomfortable almost as if they let off a bloodthirsty aura. Brain tries to intimidate Kujo this way by letting his more animalistic nature out and it’s described as the air filled with a eerie bloody smell and he expects Kujo to run away from this however Kujo becomes even more determined standing his ground determined to protect his claim of simply being Victorique’s friend. Brain smirks to himself stating that he likes the look on kujo’s face before lunging at him with a speed comparable to an animal. Kujo avoids this attack grabbing something off the table and running away from Brain who promptly chases. However much to Brain’s surprise Kujo turns around to meet him taking advantage of that moment of shock and using the object he got off the table to hit Brain in the eye forcing him to retreat while roaring like an animal. Struggling with the pain for a second Brain managed to open his eye to see Kujo’s black eyes staring back free of malice but determined to get rid of the threat to his friend and narrowly dodges the object Kujo tried to bring down on his head. Screaming to drown the terror while holding his hurt eye he manages to kick Kujo away this is where the gap in the their physical strength become apparent as he ends up landing a kick that knocks Kujo down and almost brakes his arm and pins him to the ground. Kujo on the ground keeps struggling under brain while declaring that while he might not know much he won’t let anyone call Victorique a tool or weapon that he would protect her from the dangers around her. Brian contemplates for a moment before feeling sentimental and letting Kujo go and states to Kujo he can’t protect her with the power of a single kind hearted boy. The coming storm isn’t something Kujo could do anything about and that Kujo would cry and despair would eat away at him. He wonders if Kujo would still be the same kind boy or if he would also change into another monster by the experience. So yeah the anime actually did my boy dirty he does pretty well in fights as he trains fighting skills his dad and brother send him it’s more that his smaller body size and slim build even for a Japanese kid of his age tends to hold him back if you look at him side by side with Avril she’s actually taller then him. Another side note all his running about a down the stairs has given him a decent muscle growth as explained in the light novel. Everything I mentioned here is from Gosick volume 4. Also the reason why Grevil hair is covered in bugs is because so he didn’t have access to his hair gel he used sugar water to style his hair.
