Human body can't last long in extreme weather or environment, just like you can easily get sick or even die because of floating too fast during water diving. To be fair, I don't think they can wait even if Ikta rush to save them. They have been surrounded and with a bad health condition. No matter how fast the message hv been sent, there's no way they can manage to catch up
