He mentioned how. Haa-san, Aya-san (someone), and Shigure-san himself says that they all woke up the same day, crying. This episode of Shigure was mostly a metaphor, foreshadowing, crptic. Tohru being used in a bigger, grander scheme. Lastly, When Shigure saw Tohru off with her double date, and patted her head. He simply realizes and remembers that he's a dirty scumbag for using someone who's so pure as a pawn. Making him feel a little shitty about himself.
