These subs went with calling her Chloe right off the bat when its only really used in school situations. Most of the subs I've seen and the manga translations I read use Kuro more often than not. She is called Kuro because it means Dark/Black and she is "Dark Illya". "Illya liking Shirou is the weirdest plot" wait till bro finds out what Shiki does with his sister. Shirou's Rizz in out of this world almost on par with Renataro Luvia route when?

2025-04-02 15:17:48 +0000 UTCAs far as Chloe/Kuro's name goes, "Kuro" means black/dark so they start off calling her Kuro, as in short for "Dark Illya". The name "Chloe" doesn't actually get used for her until the scene right at the end of this episode where she introduces herself as Illya's cousin, but for some reason these subs jumped to using Chloe rather than Kuro right off the bat (I guess because they didn't want to have to explain what Kuro means, and therefore that everyone is just calling her "Darkie")
