2025-01-23 20:06:25 +0000 UTCShirou's basically calling Kiritsugu "old man" - which these subs are translating as "Grandpa," but can equally be an informal way to refer to your dad or uncle. Also, Kiritsugu mentioning travelling to Germany made me a little sad, because he was travelling there to try and see Illya again, but the Einzberns always turned him away without ever letting him see her. But then, right after that, we get to flash forward to the present day, and see Illya happy with Shirou and everyone. It's cute, but kind of bittersweet at the same time.
