So I have to ask couchsurfing friends! Couchsurfing is an app and website for worldwide travelers to ask to stay at a host’s house for free - whether it be on thr couch, floor, etc.
So that’s why they call it “couch” “surfing” and we call them “surfers.”
I have used this app for over 10 years when traveling alone.
There is a feature called hangouts where you just meet and basically hang out.
So that is where I met Renato!! A sweet guy from Argentina traveling.
