The design was created by the animation studio and some how turn into an official design. I still rewatching this episode sometimes even finished fsn many years ago just for this scene.

2024-12-07 15:47:04 +0000 UTCThis is the episode that made me a fate fan. I was so confused on who archer was. A couple of hints in this episode was when he called Illya by her name so i thiught he might be kiritsugu. The ED for this episode also showed the gem that rin used to summon him.

In the VN this fight happens off screen, all we see the beginning and the end with Illya tweaking about how some no name Servent was able to take 6/5 of Bererkers 12 lives (6 in the VN 5 in the anime). So yeah, Archer and Shirou only clash in the UBW route, this is his fate in the Fate route. Your just left with this mystery of Archer who somehow killed the greatest hero of Greece multiple times.

I'm glad we at least get to see his fight in the anime - in the VN it was offscreen since seeing Unlimited Blade Works would have been a spoiler for the UBW route.

2024-12-04 15:44:04 +0000 UTCIn the Berserker fight they kind of did Archer dirty. I mean itβs still one of my favorite fights but itβs anime-only since in the VN it was left open to the imagination with only the beggining and the end scenes. Also in the anime it looks like it lasted about 10 minutes even though it actually lasted over 2 hours in the VN. Also Archer managed to kill Berserker 6 times in the VN. Also about those great swords archer used those are Kanshou and Bakuya Overedge
