Fate/Strange Fake 'SPECIAL' Review STREAM
Added 2024-11-23 03:09:28 +0000 UTCAlmost a year ago, I watched this Fate/Strange Fake Special and it blew me away! After watching a lot of Fate/Nasu content as well as Case Files El Melloi, I wanted to revisit this special for a rewatch as we prepare for tomorrow's release of Fate/Strange Fake!
This turned out to be WAY longer than expected because of the amount of things I noticed. It includes reactions, lore, discussions, hot takes, trailers, teasers, dub vs sub, and many more interesting things!

2024-11-24 03:20:31 +0000 UTCSo all the Hassan are part of Hashshashin which is a religious organization, they are all Muslim, and that particular Hassan is very faithful so Mages trying to obtain the holy grail, a supposed christian artifact, are heretics. Snowfield is in the USA, specifically California. Flat is busted strong as a mage, but very dumb, he literally has all the talent, calling him blonde Gojo is lowkey kinda accurate power wise. So there are 2 known Jack the Ripper servants in Fate, the one from Apocrypha which was the actual killer in Fate lore. This one is the manifestation of all the legends of Jack the Ripper, basically the mystery and theories of Jack the ripper was so great that it formed its own servant in the throne of heroes. The Throne of Heroes is where all the servants come from, when a person makes a big enough legend for themselves there soul get recorded by the world in the throne of heroes after they die. It exists outside of time and space which is why you can summon servants from the future like Emiya. Caster is the author Alexander Dumas, besides what everyone else mentioned he is the author of the Count of Monte Cristo, the book Edmond Dantes comes from, in Fate lore Edmond was real and Caster knew him and wrote a book based on his life, IRL obviously Dantes was not real. Caster also wrote the Three Musketeers. The Fake Holy Grail war is a primer, basically its a warm up for the leylines of the city of Snowfield (basically the magic circuits of the land where the war is fought), the Fake war gets the leylines used to summoning servants and holding a grail war so they can hold an actual grail war. Essentially the place they are holding the grail war is not great for doing so, there is a reason Fuyuki is the place that the og grail war took place its got great leylines, so in order to hold a real grail war they needed to warm up the leylines, work them out so to speak to get them strong enough to actually hold a true grail war. The True part is having a grail that can actually grant wishes/ punch a hole to the root. The fake one does not have the ability to make a proper holy grail.

Caster has the same voice actor as Shikamaru (Naruto) 3. Flat has the same voice actor as Kirito (Sword art online) There's more, but I'll stop yapping for now lol.
