Yeah man the banter and talk back feels, really good, oddly. Compared the UBW or Heavens Field. They did skip and cut out a lot of stuff, from what I heard, but if thr banter and the smaller moments were lik3 this, then I wouldn't mind seeing them all as a 64 episode.

The master and servant being similar only applies to the servants summoned without the use of a catalyst. Otherwise, the catalyst becomes the determining factor. [Tokiomi summoned Archer using a catalyst and Gilgamesh & Tokiomi have nothing in common, but Ryuunosuke summoned Carter without a catalyst and Gilles de rais & Ryuunosuke are very similar. ]
Shinji doesn't have any magic circuits so he can't summon a servant, Sakura was the one who summoned Rider without the use of a catalyst and got Medusa because of how similar she is to Sakura. Shinji controls Rider using the book that was made using one of Sakura's command spells since she didn't want to fight anyone.

Yeah that's true command spells kinda force the servants to do what the masters want you to do. I'll keep that Shirou line in my mind as I continue the series π

The subtitle about "I raised you as a sister" is Taiga talking to Shirou - Rin and Sakura being sisters is something that hasn't been revealed yet at this point. The subtitles kind of got a bit messed up in that scene since Rin and Shirou are talking over Taiga, so the two conversations get mixed up.
Also, servants can disobey their masters as much as they like unless the order was enforced with a command spell, which Shirou didn't, although he was considering it. (And even then, they're only bound by the exact wording of the order - see what happened to Medea's original master...)
That line of Shirou's about not wanting to die like that again is interesting. I have a different take on what I think he really meant by it, but it very much ties in to the overarching theme of this route, so I'll keep it to myself for now.
