Dandadan while taking cues from a lot of Shojo romance is definitely still a Shounen Romance (Shojo and Shounen being the target demographics, Shojo being made for young girls, and Shounen being made for young boys) There is also Seinen and Josei, (Seinen being for adult men, and Josei for adult women) The usual difference between romance aimed at boys vs girls is who the protagonist is (the boy or the girl), and if it focus on the more internal side of romance (shojo/josei) or the more physical side of romance (Shounen/Seinen)

If you're looking for romance anime recommendations, 'My Dress Up Darling' is a recent-ish one that I really enjoyed. It was pretty popular too, especially the main girl, and the two leads are really cute together. Another one that reminds me a bit of DanDaDan is 'Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai' since it also has some supernatural elements and top tier dialogue. Technically they're both seinen rather than shoujo in terms of target demographic, but both very good romance anime nonetheless.
