2024-11-06 14:02:25 +0000 UTCActually, I should say Rin is down two command spells in the Fate route, because her using one to order Archer to obey all her orders happens before the routes diverge - we just didn't see it in this version because Deen skipped most of the prologue. We do see that it's the second stroke of her command spell that vanishes here, though, leaving her with only 1 left.

In this route, Rin uses her command spell to force Archer back into his spirit form, making the blow he takes from Saber not fatal (though he's still injured). In UBW, Shirou instead uses his command spell to stop Saber attacking, leaving Archer uninjured and Shirou down a command spell instead of Rin. From that single difference - which master has already used one of their command spells - how differently will this story unfold?
