I used to make gaming content and then randomly decided to give Fate a try (cuz someone in chat mentioned it) and now I've fallen into this hole I can never get out of which is kind of a blessing because I met so many amazing people through it. I'm so grateful for this community we've built here but also, the Fate community in general has got to be one of the best and most dedicated one out there 🙌
I appreciate every single one of you who watch my content whether it's Fate or non Fate related because I always wanted to pursue this dream of mine which slowly becomes a reality day by day. I hope you all continue to enjoy everything I put out!
Oh and feel free to let me know how you all got into FATE in the comments! I'd love to read everyone's first experience :)

WAIT THAT'S AMAZING!!! After watching Apocrypha I always said I'd recommend that anime as people's first fate 🤣

One I got bored and saw Apocrypha on Netflix and decided to start it. Yes, I started my journey on Apocrypha 😄. I ofc got hooked and started watching everything and what a blast it has been.

2024-10-20 20:25:08 +0000 UTCI started Fate at the time I was on vacation in Hawaii. Everyday, I spent all my time walking, sightseeing, and hanging out with the locals. After my first night, I was exhausted and wanted to start a new anime that I could watch everynight there. I looked through all the anime that I wanted to watch and chose Fate on a whim. Having known next to nothing about Fate, I figured why not, and looked up online for a watch order. As you can imagine, I was bombarded with so many different watch orders with everyone saying "this one's right" "no this one's right". Ultimately, I decided that I might as well watch it by anime release order, since in my head I thought "even if it ain't right, might as well experience it the way anime-onlys experienced Fate". I began Fate with Fate/Stay Night (the Studio Deen 2006 one). It was a unique viewing experience for me, as I had never quite watched anything like it before, and I definitely wanted to keep watching more Fate. Fate/Zero was the show that completely locked me into the Fate francise as a whole (I also have an ufotable biased). Every episode had me wanting the next and before I knew it, I had finished the show. It was peak. Somehow, none of the articles I read up on Fate watch orders had mentioned that Fate/Stay Night had different timelines (I don't even know how that's possible 😭), so I got a little bamboozed with UBW and HF. Nevertheless, both were peak af. Ufotable cooked!🔥 After that, I went on to Apocrypha, Grand Order, and so on, until I watched all Fate anime (except Kaleid anime). And as of today, I'm branching out to other Type-Moon content. TL;DR - I started Fate at random during vacay time.

2024-10-20 07:26:16 +0000 UTCMy first exposure to Fate was watching the Deen anime back in around 2007-ish, not that long after it came out, with some friends at uni. I quite enjoyed it but I also watched a lot of other similar stuff at the time, so it didn't stand out too much to me. I was vaguely aware it was based on an eroge VN, but didn't know much more than that. When I heard there was a Fate/Zero anime coming out, it prompted me to finally read the VN (and Hollow Ataraxia). My wife and I then watched Zero and later UBW together, and really loved both of them. From there I basically did my best to find and consume every Fate-related thing I could. Once I started playing FGO, I passed the event horizon, and it was no longer possible to escape the all-consuming pull of the combined mass of everything Fate. Seriously, though, Fate is a bottomless well of content. I've been a Fate fan for the better part of two decades and I'm still continuously discovering new parts of the franchise to enjoy. Just in this past year alone I've played Samurai Remnant, read Mahoyo, started playing Fate/EXTRA CCC for the first time and read the CCC Fox Tail manga, just to name a few. I've also really enjoyed watching your content - seeing you dive headfirst into the Nasuverse and fully immerse yourself in it has brought back so many fun memories of when I was first experiencing all this stuff myself.

2024-10-20 01:18:17 +0000 UTCYeah I doubt I would have been able to get into fate from Deen stay night if was now, mainly because at this point there are so many anime so I would have asked how to get into it and people would have said read the VN and I just would have since I like reading and VN's in general. Deen worked for me back then cause I did not know any better, its one that despite having fond memories off I can look back at and critique with the knowledge I have now.

2024-10-19 23:56:52 +0000 UTCOoo that's really cool! Do you think you would've gotten into Fate if all this happened in 2024 instead of 2009 and you came across the Deen 2006 anime? Or would it be much more difficult compared to 2009 because of the difference in animation as well as the amount of anime to choose from compared to today where we have endless choices and shorter attention spans

2024-10-19 23:48:28 +0000 UTCHappy Shirou Day! I got into Fate through the 2006 Deen Anime back in 2009, was looking for new anime to watch and a friend recommended it to me. It resonated with me in a way few anime did at the time so I went looking if there was more and found the VN, from there I read through the Fate and Tsukihime VN's By the time I was done both the UBW Movie had aired in Japan and then the wait for subs began, thank you Unlimited Translation Works, you were the true OG's. Then a bit after that a little anime called Fate/Zero began airing in 2011 along with Carnival Phantasm and the Fate/Extra game released in the West. Suffice to say I was drowning in Fate content and still am to this day.
