2024-10-05 23:56:09 +0000 UTCFrom my understanding yeah she is referring to the real actor, not sure when Dandadan is supposed to be set so no idea if he is alive but even if it's set in the early 2000's where they would still have cell phones he would still be really old like in his 80's so she probably just finds the young him from his old movies hot

I think I watched like an episode of it when it came out on Netflix years ago but didn't continue it for some reason. Can't remember why but maybe I didn't like the vibe of it. As for the takakura guy, does the girl in this anime refer to the real celebrity takakura who happens to be alive in this anime?

He was known as the Clint Eastwood of Japan. The line "I'm an awkward guy", was from a commercial he did for life insurance and ended up becoming a heavily quoted line, almost like a proto-meme
