We are finally at the first Turning Point So the end goal of the show if it adapts all the novels is to show Rudeus life from birth through adulthood. Nah Philip really went ill handle the coup have my daughter. Man is really shrewd. Cause if Rudeus marries Eris then it would unite the Notes and Boreas branches and give the Boreas legitimate claim as head family So you've finally seen Rudeus' biggest offense, his attempt to sleep with Eris. This was the big one that people always cite when they talk about the shows weirdness or dropping the show. I do think one thing the anime missed on compared to the novels here is that after Eris hits him in the novels he has a long internal monologue about how he regrets his actions and how much he sucks where as here he does that but its much more brief so its not as impactful imo. That Dragon took one look at him and went, nah I'm good, I'm a go now bye! The Prologue is over, now the real Journey Begins!
