Just some additional thoughts; I truly enjoyed this series from the first episode all the way till the end. I wish it never ended or was at least longer because I just can't get enough of it!!!
A lot of times, I don't really focus on the MC because my favorite character(s) are usually from the supporting main cast but coming fresh from Apocrypha, I must say, Fujimaru really set the bar up high. He may not be super involved in every fight or scene but when he was, he left a big impact. I actually really like him and well, we can't even argue with his undeniable rizz.
There were so many new amazing characters I got to meet from Quetz all the way to Merlin. It's really hard to pick a favorite but if I had to pick one from this anime besides Gilgamesh, it would have to be Ana. She was like the heart and soul of this anime for me who helped me get through the first half too! She was also extremely funny 😂
I can go on and on about so many great characters such as Ushi, Quetz, and even Fujinee but I must mention Siduri. One of the most loyal characters I have ever seen and her moment with Enkidu hit so hard for me. I'll never forget Enkidu's scream after that.
Speaking of moments, my favorite one has to be Hassan's final entrance as well as Gilgamesh & Enkidu's interaction when he uses the grail to heal him. Their friendship bond is strong enough to move you emotionally as you go through the show.
Do I even need to say anything about Hassan? Man's a straight up menace. I feel like it's unfair to say he's my favorite (I mean he is) cuz I wish I saw more scenes of him like can we just get a whole spin off based on Assassins pls?
Lastly, I just want to say thank you for reading all this and supporting me here. it really means a lot to me because this platform is the only one to allow me to continue what I do and it's thanks to your guys' support. I can't wait to endlessly check out more Fate stuff as well as many other anime so I hope you all look forward to it!
My rating of Babylonia: 9.9/10 (I need more Hassan and Fujimaru should've had a 'scene' with someone like c'mon take lessons from Shirou from HF2)

Babylonia is a really special Fate story. I would definitely love to see you rank all the Fate anime and do a FGO servant ranking. I look forward to the next chapter of the Nasuverse that you choose to watch next.

2024-08-27 22:51:41 +0000 UTCAlso the reason why Quetz doesn't like Jaguar is bc of her association with Tezcatlipoca. He is brother of Quetz and one of his titles or forms is God of Jaguars. Let's just say they don't get along at all. Funny enough when Jaguar said humans are tasty and Quetz squeezed her is bc unlike most gods Quetz didn't really ask for human sacrifice as much. But Tez asked for a lot of human sacrifice, one of the reason they don't get along

Also for why the Jaguar calls her Kuku, it comes from Kukulkan which is the name the Mayans used for Quetz. Quetzalcoatl was used by the Aztecs and Toltecs

2024-08-27 20:00:51 +0000 UTCjust a couple fun things to recount overall. 1-In Singularity 4, the cause of this and final boss of FGO makes a sudden appearance and one shots all our servants(briefly shown in this anime), Revealing himself as Solomon, which is why the final singularity is called the Grand Temple of Time Solomon. 2- The story Gilgamesh was telling was The Epic of Gilgamesh in which he learns the value of humanity. It's why he's a much nicer person in this story since it takes place after his journey . 3- Truthfully tho, gilgamesh starts his less asshole evolution in the sequel to FSN called Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Currently it's only in visual novel format and is getting released in English next year for the first time(officially). 4-The snake that stole the herb shed its skin which is the relic that Tokiomi(Rin's dad) used to summon him in Fate Zero. 5- Merlin does have another appearance, specifically in the fate route in the visual novel. 6- On a side note since it seems like Carnival phantasm is gonna win the poll, FGO also has its own version called Fate Grand Carnival. 7- Also you do have 1 final FGO animated main story thing after Solomon, its called Fate Grand Order Moonlight Lostroom and is like a prologue to the Lostbelts

2024-08-27 17:50:35 +0000 UTCImma tell you right now. If you do decide to take the dive into FGO (god help you) this is the Rizzuka Fujimaru experience in a nut shell. Because a big part of the FGO gacha is rolling for and leveling up your waifus, they have the MC keep some social distance from the servants who are throwing themselves at them in story. There a few notable exceptions (Castoria, Melt, Jalter). And Mash is also right there as the standby in-story love interest for the MC.

What we see in this episode is just the last vestige of his soul to bid farewell to us. There is also a scene of him disappearing too at 22:49 (you probably busy singing so you didn’t notice😂)
