Also the subtle storytelling in Gil's actions, like how right off the bat he used his most powerful weapon because he respected Rider so much, and that he finished him off himself as opposed to shooting him down speaks volumes of how much respect he gave rider. Waver's transformation to prideful pompous brat, to a humble man is easily my favorite character arc in all of fate.
