Missing island life!! Its been consistently so so hot. I am currently on lockdown in Cebu Island Philippines. We are only allowed to go buy essentials with a quarantine pass that only one person per household can use. Lines can still be long to get in and the wait. No real local transportation to get to the markets. They offered free trucks at first, but than budgeting made it stop. The trucks would hold maybe 6-8 chairs - NOT 6 feet apart - so that didnt make sense. People did wear - mostly - masks.
The boatyard gets hot hot hot. Inter-island travel has been stopped for the time being. We are lucky that we can still go to shore. Some of my friends in Sabang, Indonesia or other parts can NOT even leave their boats to buy essentials. They have locals dropping it off for them.
Imagine not being able to leave your boat for over a month?? YIKES!!
For now, quarantine is being extended until the end of May. Number of cases have not leveled off yet here.
Can we ever get back to normal??
