Fate/Stay Night LANCER Lore

His history and powers. LANCER GA SHINDA!!!

Comments

The two Gaes that Cu was made to break were 1: never consume dog meat, and 2: never refuse a meal from a woman. Medb had a servant girl serve Cu cooked dog meat. He of course was then put in a lose lose situation. Also in some of the legends he was still killing fools even after tying himself to that stone. And even when he finally "died" one enemy soldier approached his body, only to be decapitated by cu's dead body. Yes, he was dead and still killed a man. Only after that last kill did a raven land on his shoulder and he moved no more. Also that protection from arrows skill allowed him to survive a fight with Gilgamesh for 15 hours

Lancer being able to SPAM GAE BOLG??? Nah they did him way too dirty this is insane

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!! 😩

Thank you very much for the actual numbers. I wasn't bothered to check the wiki. Luck is really important in and out of fights, after all, it is on the same stats board with Agility, Strength etc. Unfortunately, the adaptation alone can't really flash that out.

Glad you enjoyed the Lore Video, Lancer is definitely underappreciated

seconding this, also the Luck Stat itself is based around how they are able to defy Fate, Lancer has E Rank Luck, and Saber has B to A+ rank luck depending on her Master

Jarm957

In defence of Saber and Archer vs Lancer, the Gae Bolg passive of reversing causality has to go through a luck checker, unfortunately Saber has a much higher luck stats than Lancer, together with the passive skill of 'Instinct', which allows her to move in the most favoured way with instinct. She actually managed to survive the fights with Lancer, Caster's master and Assassin in UBW, due to being able to dodge things she otherwise can't. In Archer's case, the shield he projected to stop Gae Bolg is the shield that deflected Hector's attack in the Trojan War. The problem is, every servant is OP in their own way. And their strength is even affected by their popularity in the place they are summoned. You will see this in Apocrypha more. Saber, being King Arthur, is gonna be much more well-known than Celtic legends, which certainly played a part as well. If the fight were to take place in Ireland rather than Japan, Cu would have a much better chance. Similarly, if it was in England, Saber would have a much better chance.

There is a few more "bro" servants in other series. Apocrypha also has an interesting one which the community agrees upon. He is just super OP and everything about him screams 'Manga Protagonist'. In Fate, each servant all have their own advantages and disadvantages that is why hiding True name, strategies, and match-ups are super important. Emiya's UBW is a counter to Gil's GoB but he stood no chance if Gil's used EA. Cu can also spam Gae Bolg and has fought Gil for 12 hours, meaning UBW can't much to him. Rider's has Mystic eyes of petrification that can combo with Bellerophon as it takes so long to charge. Caster's rule breaker can literally hack anything magic related as long as you don't get hit. True Assassin's Zabaniya can be easily dodge or parry but it's a guarantee death if got touched. Berserker's 12 lives can solo entire HGW if not encountered with Gil who spams high-tier NP from GoB or get absorbed by Sakura during coming back to life after excalibur-ed by Salter. Assassin is just a Wraith (lower-tier spirit), he's just a wrongly summoned servants with shit stats as his real Heroic Spirit is supposed to be saber class.

When you realize heroic spirits are literally manga protagonists when they're alive.
