Fate/Zero Episode 11

HE'S GOT AN ARMY?!

Comments

Lol True. In this ep we have 1. Gil - seems to look like he views his subjects as his properties (which anime-watchers would assume he easily dispose of them as he wish, and the truth is β€”β€”(BABYLONIA SPOILER) 2. Rider - led his reigns based mainly on his desire but also took care of his comrades and valued their friendships. However, he was still greedy and violent king, conquering other lands for his empire to grow and prosper. 3. Saber - devotes to her subjects. She carried the kingdom (Aggravain: NO U FKING DIDNT) all by herself. Rather than subjects serving her, she served them. During her reign, she was a righteous king only to defend her kingdom from other forces unlike Rider who was power-hungry.

Yea I can definitely tell it would have opposing views

So this episode is pretty split among the community. It does make Iskandar seem correct but in actuality he is not, neither is correct tbh. This scene gets redone in another fate (I will not spoil) and is viewed by a character that idolized Artoria, that character calls out Rider on why he is wrong about Saber. It's different perspectives on kingship.

Yeah.... Gilgamesh has a very strange obsession with Saber. Matching his tyrant personality when he is summoned in the Archer class, you will only hear the worst things coming from his mouth lmao. This specific dialogue only occurs in the VN, in the anime they censored it if i'm not mistaken

BRO WHAT?!!!!!

I had PTSD from the end of the first route where Gilgamesh said he would rap* Saber if she didn't submit to him ☠️

Gil & Saber gotta be the most OP couple of all time if they got together

The Banquet of Kings really is one of if not my favorite Fate/Zero Episodes. Riders Np is not endless, it can feel that way, basically it has every soldier who swore fealty to him in life which was a lot, idk in fate lore, but irl history estimates his army to be around 40,000. Saber is honestly such a tragic character because she truly believed she had to carry the burden of Kingship alone instead of relying on her closest allies, aka the knights of the round table. Also Camelot is the name of King Arthur/Sabers Castle. Gil was being serious at the end, he has an infatuation with Saber (I hesitate to call it love) it's actually very apparent in the Fate Route of Stay Night. He finds her tragic ideals beautiful in their own way, and I guess she is his type lol.

not sure if this is a spoiler or not but i think the reason gil glows is cuz he's a Demi-God

Deltora101

Gil is so wealthy that he emits rich aura

For the grail question: "YES", the holy grail is an artifact that was lost and found throughout history in the world of fate. The holy grail war (aka. heaven's feel ritual) uses the holy grail, which is the mass-accumulation of mana, to become a wish granter.
