Complicated

Estella gets in the car, she drives for 2 hours and arrives at a hotel. When she arrives she texts him that she is there. She gets out of the car, first her wheelchair, then she makes a transfer into her wheelchair. She take a bag with her and closes the car door.

She rolls up to the hotel entrance and drops her keys. She tries to reach them but the bag on the lap is in the way. She tries to pull her self up and she gets surprised by the lady from the desk who comes to help her. ' Let me get that for you' and she grabs the keys of the floor and gives it to Estella. 'Thank you' and she smiles. 

Together they enter the hotel and Estella check in with the nice lady from the desk. The lady is blond with blue eyes and her uniform fits her body perfectly. She has a very pretty face Estella noticed that from the minute she looked up when their eyes first met.

Estella gets the key to her room and takes the elevator up to the 8th floor. When she gets out of the elevator a man is standing in the hall way. He is seems surprised to see the wheelchair. He gets a little uncomfortable but tries to be nice, ' can i help you?'. Estella smiles but says ' No thank you, I don't need help'. She rolls ahead looking for her room. She doesn't know If the man took the elevator when she got out but she doesn't care. Even if he was watching her roll away, she doesn't care anymore. Sometimes she feels like an attraction, people see this woman in a wheelchair, they get curious. She enters the room, its the only disabled one in the hotel so she had no choice in choosing one. 

She puts her bag near the door, goes into the bathroom and takes a moment to herself. She washed her face, drinks some water and then goes and lays down on the bed. She makes a transfer like it's nothing, pulling up the weight of her lifeless legs. Her strong arms can take her anywhere. She pulls up her legs and reaches for the remote for the television. At that moment her mobile phone rings, she takes it and the voice on the other side of the line is one of a man she never met. But they are about to meet soon.

He sounds a little nervous but she is just tired. Seems a little off. ' Sorry, i need to relax for a moment, can we meet in 3 hours?' She askes him. He agrees and she hangs up. 

She falls asleep and wakes up 2 hours later, she transfers back to her chair, rolls to the bathroom and puts on a dress. She puts on some lipstick and puts her hair up.

The television is still on, there is a documentary about wildlife in Africa playing.

Estella puts on some high heels, she struggles a bit doing it but a few minutes later, she is ready to go. She sends her date a text, - I will be downstairs in the hotel restaurant in 5 minutes -. She leaves her room and rolls to the elevator. The man she saw there before, is also standing there again. He is looking at her, she feels it. They enter the elevator. She looks up to him and asks ' Are you following me?'. He starts laughing, 'No, its a coincidence, I'm here for a business meeting'. Estella feels relieved, ' Okay good, sorry i just felt awkward with you starring at me'. He puts his hand on her shoulder, 'You are a very beautiful woman, I'm sorry If that made you feel uncomfortable'. The elevator arrives on the first floor, he leaves the elevator and looks back to Estella and gives a wink. She didn't have chance to reply properly. But she has something else on her mind. 

She rolls towards the restaurant and there is a man that looks like her date sitting  in the hall on a sofa. He gets up the moment he realizes it's her and he walks towards her. She smiles and say hi. He says ' It's nice to meet you, can i give you a hug?'. Before she knows it he is giving her a awkward hug. She feels weird and turns around, let's go. He follows her into the restaurant and they take a seat that was ready for them. She already made the reservation a day before she went to the this hotel. He says 'It's so nice to meet you, I can't believe we are meeting face to face'. She looks at him with a straight face 'Yes, well I don't feel really comfortable but I guess you convinced me'. He takes a little box out of the pocket of his blazer. She notices he is wearing his wedding ring while he puts the box in front of her on the table. She is surprised. 'Open it' he says. She opens the box and there is a necklace in it. She look at him without taking it out of the box. 'Why are you giving me this?'. 'I wanted to give you something nice, I'm just so glad you give me the chance to meet you'. She doesn't know what to say, I'ts very nice but I'ts too much. 'Did you tell your wife you are meeting me?'. 'Yes, I did, and we bought this necklace for you together'. Estella is quiet, she takes out the necklace, 'It's beautiful, thank you wife for this gift'. He reaches out for her hand and she can feel his sweaty fingers on her wrist. She is a little freaked out. Did didn't go anything like she thought it would go. He looks older in real life, he looks like he is working out but he isn't that good looking. 'Tell me what did you tell your wife?'. He says 'I told her, that once in my life i want to meet a paraplegic woman and maybe just touch her legs. My wife knows it's my biggest fantasy'. Estella is frowning, she can't deny that it's weird. They order a drink but the way he is looking at her, is just really awkward. 'After this drink, we go up to your room, you can touch my legs, because that was the deal, we call your wife on speakerphone and then I leave'. He looks at her, agrees in silence but then a woman comes up to the table. It's the lady from the desk, tells him there is a woman her to see him. He gets up and walks behind the lady from the desk out of the restaurant. At that same moment the business man from the elevator walks in with two other man, they look like the business deal went well. He sees the woman in the wheelchair and he and the other two take a seat to a table next to her. While he takes place he winks at her and smiles. She smiles back and the drinks that were ordered are put on the table by the waiter. Estella look at the door and doesn't know what to do, wait here? or go?. She stays at the table, puts the little box in her purse and takes a sip of her drink. The business man looks to her every other minute. She grabs her phone, checks if her date called, but no message. She sends him - I will wait just 5 minutes then I leave -. The business man is a good looking man, mid 30's, but seems to be too charming to everybody. Estella is not impressed, guys like that, are made to be single. Estella is not into guys that think they can have it all. So after 5 minutes of looking at the drink, the business, her phone. She leaves the restaurant. She rolls towards the elevator and forgot to pay the drinks, she turns around, goes into the restaurant and the business man is watching her paying the bill. She looks at him, winks back, just to tease and rolls out of the restaurant for the second time. This is not my day, she thinks to herself. She passes the desk and the nice blond lady appears again. ' Miss, the man is with his wife, I think they went to his room'. Estella is not surprised, and just smiles, 'thank you, for letting me know'. Estella moves on towards the elevator and the lady of the desk is walking behind her. 'Have you already checked out the spa?' the desk lady asks. 'No, is it accessible?'. The lady seems to be thinking 'I'm not sure, would you join me to see if it is?'. Estella looks up to her, 'sure, why not'. They enter the elevator, Estella first, the lady from the desk is wearing a name tag, it says Claudia. The lady from the desk, is noticing that Estella is trying to read the name tag. 'My name is Claudia, Miss Rolls' and she looks intens at Estella, like she knows everything about her. The elevator stops at the 15th floor. ' Here we are'. Claudia leave the elevator and Estella follows. Claudia is walking very elegant in those high heels, Estella gets reminded what she have lost when becoming paralyzed. 

The spa seems to be accessible to enter, the pass a desk, a sauna, and Claudia shows Estella the pool. 'How can I get in the pool?' Estella asks Claudia. 'You can't walk? or stand for a minute?' Claudia asks. 'No, I can't. I think someone would have to carry me'. Claudia reacts with a little over sensitive expression on her face. 'I will ask someone or carry you myself' she says determined. 'That's very sweet of you, you are very helpful' Estella replies. 'I love to help, especially a beauty like you' Claudia says. Estella is shocked, she did not expect that at all. 'Let me know when you need anything else, I will be here all night. But I need to get back to the desk downstairs' Claudia says. She walks out of the spa area and Estella takes a look around.

It's been a crazy day. The pool look nice and she does want to go for a swim. But first she goes back to her room, orders room service and lays down for a moment to process all that happened the last few hours. Her phone rings, It's her date. Estella picks up, but there it's not his voice. A woman says 'Hello, Estella?'. 'Yes, are you his wife?' Estella replies. 

'Yes, I am don't worry I'm not mad, I just wanted to meet you but my husband probably did not tell you this'. 

E: What's going on?

'I wanted to meet you together with my husband but he wanted you to himself. We bought the necklace and he said he would go on a date and I would join after an hour. 

E: Wait, what? I'm sorry I don't understand. You wanted to come along and meet me for what? He told me you were fine with him meeting me and so that was the deal. To have a drink, touch my legs and he paid for that.

'Is it possible to meet you, so I can explain it in person?'

E: Sure, come to my room. But just you alone.

'Which number?, I'll be there in 10 minutes'

E: 8.24 , Okay see you soon.

The wife knocks on the door. Estella opens the door, a woman is standing there, she is not that tall, but she is wearing high heels. She looks nice and seems a lot younger than her husband. 'Hi, I'm really sorry about everything. This must be so weird. I want to tell you in person'. Estella rolls towards the bed and says 'You can sit in the chair, I will just sit on the bed for now, if you don't mind'. 

'Ofcourse' the wife says and takes place in the chair in the corner of the room. 'Okay, explain' Estella says.

'Me and my husband are married for 6 years now. 2 years ago he told me he has a fetish and that he likes girls with paralysis, wheelchairbound. I was shocked but I have a fetish myself so I was not mad. When he told me he was also in contact with woman in a wheelchair I also let him do that. He still never met a paraplegic woman but I know it's on his mind. He asked him who he was chatting with and he told me about you, he showed your pictures and I understood somehow that he wanted to meet you. As long as he would tell me truth I was fine. Sometimes I read the chats you are having and he told me I wanted to meet you. So after a discussion, I agreed he could and when were shopping he suggested to buy something nice for you. So we did all that. But last minute, I didn't feel comfortable anymore, 2 days ago I told him. If you go, I want to join or cancel. We agreed to meet you at this hotel, he could have an hour with you to talk, I would join and after if he touched your legs with me in the room, we would leave and that was the plan'.

E: 'Okay this is.... I don't know. Crazy! I only met because he offered a lot of money and I need it. He seemed nice enough to meet and he told me you knew all about the chats and his preference.' It's getting complicated and you seem very nice and understanding, why wouldn't he tell me? I'm mad at him and now I'm sitting here with his wife. It's all just crazy!'

Wife: 'Yes, I'm very angry with him. And I'm sorry for that. He didn't want me there, he wanted you alone. He texted me before he went here to let him do this alone. I was mad, I went to the hotel and we had a fight about it. 

E: And now?

Wife: Now I see you here, I understand him. He is not wrong for wanting this but for not including me.

E: I get it, sorry but he is an asshole. You already agreed with so much. He is a selfish bastard. 

'I guess he is and this is why I am here, I couldn't let him do this' and a tear rolls down the wifes eye. 'I'm sorry, I will leave', the wife stands up on her high heels.

'No, wait', Estella quickly transfer to her wheelchair and rolls towards the wife. 'I'm sorry i caused this, I should have never agreed to meet' Estella says. The wife sits down on the corner of the bed. 'Can I give you a hug?' Estella opens her arms and grabs the waist of the wife. She is in good shape, better than her husband. She smells nice and she grabs Estella even tighter so her boobs are in her face. Estella lets go but the wife slowly moves her hand from Estellas shoulders to her hair. 'You are so beautiful' and her hand moves from Estellas cheek to her hand that's on her lap. Estella is overwhelmed and just feels the wife's hand on hers while looking into her eyes. 

The wife leans in and kisses Estella passionately on her mouth.
