A race of demonic knights who serve the demon queen directly, whose heads have been severed from their bodies. As far as fighting prowess goes they are among the best, serving as extremely loyal royal retainers with exceptional knowledge of military tactics.

As depicted in the case files, they are often depicted holding their heads separately but are rarely found in such states as they prefer to have their heads attached. Despite their combat oriented nature, they are often not aggressive and observe proper conduct. They will only eat what is offered to them and convert whatever is consumed directly into mana which they store inside their bodies while using their head as a lid.

Due to their heads coming off quite easily however, their pent up desires, emotion and true intentions tend to spill out along with all of that stored mana. This often reflects as a complete change in personality. Their stoic and polite nature reverts to a lustful and ravenous monster, hoping to consume as much as possible to replenish the lost mana.

This can result in extreme binging in order to fill up that emptiness and may go so far as to make public displays of their gluttony. If one should ever encounter a ravenous dullahan in a public setting, simply reattach the head and you’ll end her food fueled rampage.

As her personality reverts, she may become extremely shy and embarrassed about her conduct and beg you not to speak of it ever again. Should you forego this request, a vengeful dullahan may appear out of nowhere and kidnap you.

They often specify the date and time of the kidnapping for some reason, but to this date all who have been taken have never been returned. They form the core of the demon queen’s army and are loyal to a fault and take their duty seriously. It is theorized that those taken become their faithful squires, forever tending to their lover’s endless hunger between shifts at the palace.
